I locked voting after three days simply because the thread had already been bumped to the second page, and the quasi-rules kind of state that the voting period should be roughly 72 hours, anyway. If Faze or the other mods think that was a massive over-step of boundaries on my non-modding part, then I suppose voting should continue. Sorry 'bout that.

According to our trusty ol' wiki, voting should last "several days." I'll admit I was kind of hasty about closing the thing; if the mods want, I'd happily re-open voting (or I guess they could do it themselves, too, seeing as how I assume they have The Power).

Now I kind of feel like a presumptuous jackass...

Faze, unlocking polls could potentially break peel 2. Not this poll, old polls, imported from peel 1. Thus, we are not entrusted with the powah to unlock other people's polls, only lock and unlock the threads themselves.

Yeah, I'm fully capable of unlocking it; I was just unsure as to whether or not I should. Maybe I jumped the gun in thinking the thread was forgotten and it was best to just declare a winner after three days; but, regardless, I suppose that's a decision best made by the mods and not by me.

I'd say to just stick with your original decision, Gorky, and let the announced result stand. It may not be the ideal outcome (in some people's eyes) but tinkering with it after the fact will probably just make things worse.

If folks don't like it, maybe it'll motivate them to run the thing themselves next time. It's not like PotM only happens once a year or anything.

This is a disgrace, I'm pretty sure I would have won it had it being open for a few more days, besides its not as if 1 person was running away with it, If myself and Bear had got a chance to vote then there would only be 1 vote between the top 3. This is the biggest injustice in the history of peel and as a prostest I'm giving up wanking for 30 days hours minutes.

Seriously, though, I agree with hobbitboy's sentiments. I was monitoring the poll kind of obsessively (seeing as how Svip and I were runnin' neck-and-neck), and it seemed like people stopped voting altogether after the second day. It's not exactly my fault if you guys don't choose to partake in the democratic process.

And Wanky: In the interest of your habitual masturbation, I'll nominate you for PotM next month. I mean, maybe. It'll depend on whether or not I remember.
