I dunno what peel's (everyone's) deal is, I got a bunch of votes my first month here.  I think I've made more valuable posts since yet I've only gotten about... 1 vote in the following... 6 or so months.  It's brought me great shame.

I even resorted to modeling/animating bender to no avail (excluding gopher).  When I finish I'll be sure to stratigically post it right before nomonations.  I'll still lose but at least I'll stand a chance of getting more than one vote.

I think it's a kind of shock effect; when a new person comes along and isn't an annoying idiot for their first two-hundred posts, it doesn't go unnoticed. Gopher is semi-correct... POTM is mostly a flavor of the month cross-sectional into the psychies of PEELers who actually notice this (the real PEELers).  It's actually quite nice to not be voted into the PTOM hall of fame, cause then you can get nominated again forever ad infinitum... Which is nice... or something I think. 

The real vote for PeeTOM actually comes from an elite PEEL group who have known eachother for about 7 years... I'll call them the PEEL-Cabal-Bob for now.  They secretly talk behind your back and decide whether PEEL should be up anymore and/or someone should win TOMPee.  We register multiple accounts for the occasion and play grab-ass for a couple of weeks so that every month we have two people who might win even though we all know the outcome.  It's very procedural, I had to use the x-or operator last month, and I don't know what that means.... My music just stopped... holy shit... fuck... what the fuck!? 

Anyways... it's all calculated, and we love you, but only so many people can be real PoTtyMonth material.  I know you understand, that's why I told you...

When I posted the counts; I was originally going to make the poll, but then I realised the noms had only been up since Monday, and should probably stay open through the weekend to make sure everyone got to use their noms.

Oh well.

Winna: er. I know you're being tongue-in-cheek, but I can't shake the feeling that you're directing it at me somehow; if so, I wasn't muttering "conspiracy!" just commenting on a phenomena. What surprises me isn't that I haven't gotten POTM - hell, in the 8 months since I joined, there were 6 months when I rarely visited. What was surprising was that I got enough noms to make the poll in my first month. It seemed like a phenomena worthy of observation.

Xanfor: If by "Club" you mean "Cluster of sample points in a scatter graph" and "Join" you mean "have my data plotted inside," then you already "joined" the "club". Otherwise, no. There is no club, and there is no 13th story. Sorry.
