How do we know they're telling the truth? The poll is still blind. People are at perfect liberty to avoid information whose source cannot be verified as reliable. Nix for example would tell us X was winning just to SEE if we'd vote for Y when Y was already winning anyway. Because he'd get a laugh out of it.

Those stupid enough to be influenced by such comments will undoubtedly be stupid enough to be influenced by other factors as well.

Blind poll suck, anyhow. I liked being able to see the changing nature of the public vote.

This is from wikipeelia about your postulation:
It states that, in many Poster of the Month final votes, a two-horse race will develop between one posted who is popular on the main forum and one who is popular in #futuramachat.

What I infer is that your Theorum suggests that #futuramachat has a great influence over PEEL than what is easily noticed.  Other than the two-horse race factor, which shouldn't even be considered because these Fall Madness polls only have two choices, the poll being blind would not change the influence of a specific group. 

Blind polls might inhibit individuals from being influenced by whichever candidate seems most likely to win; I don't think this is actually true though since people are already voicing their opinions over the polls.  Statements such as "VelourFog is definitely going to win" would certainly influenced individual entities who are easily influenced by such things.... whether they can see the poll or not.... although it may not be as strong as seeing a poll lead by 20 on one side.

In conclusion, many individuals are influenced to vote by how they perceive the results (examples could include "I'm voting for X just so they don't get shut out") whether or not they can see the polls.  I agree with tnuk in this instance.... I would prefer if the polls were viewable (say after you voted, so your vote would be less influenced by the current state of the poll) so that we could actively see how the polls are being changed.  I believe this would encourage people to get more excited about their participation in the whole event.

Which means that we may see Nix squaring up to Randi. Which will be an interesting match. But it will probably come down to Nix vs. Faze. Faze will wipe the floor with Nix, thanks to his hardcore devotees. Which is not as interesting as it could be.

I might beat Nils. Just maybe. It's possible, but I'm aware there's a fair chance I'll lose. But then I'd be up against Spiff or Archie. I don't fancy my chances against either. And if by a miracle I go through, I'd be facing one of four real heavyweights, in terms of PEELer popularity.
