As stated in the POTM August thread, Fall Madness 2008 will be a tourney of POTM winners.



You may have noticed that Yivo #21 is currently blank. It is reserved for the winner of POTM August.

The tourney should start on September 1st. All the match-ups will be one-on-one polls.

One week. I'll stagger start the polls for each region so it's not overwhelmed.

Also, the current setting for the polls is not letting people see the results until after the poll is closed.

You need to replace that Fall Madness image with one that has all the individuals in it.

Also, as we talked earlier, I'd rather prefer if we could see the results after we submitted our vote....  perhaps some other PEELers can give their opinion on this matter as well.

I like them as they are, mysterious and seductive. This way, nobody can discuss who is winning in the thread manipulating those who haven't seen the results. And certain, nameless people are less likely to make lame fake accounts to push the votes in the direction they favour. See, everything's all clean and virginal this way. Just like the majority of the contestants.

I suppose you're right in some regards.... although a person with a large number of fake accounts (something I find doubtful) could still sway the vote. Even getting 4 votes to everybody's 1 could easily sway it in favor toward one or the other.

Personally.... seeing the poll after I vote makes me feel like I actually did something.  Insta-gratification if you will.
