The working PEEL Uploader. Sorry if you've been using the wrong one, but that stopped working a while ago. I've changed the old page to link to the new one.

I've heard from various people that I have/had that same username as someone named Randi.  What's this all about?

That's futurefreak.  There's a big difference.  I don't know why people keep thinking that I'm her.

and your point is?
of course you can't have the same username as someone else, what are you an idiot?
what other people meant is that it's very easy to confuse these 2 nicks.

No, they're not exactly the same; but some people can't tell canned eggs apart from eggsandwich.  I'm sure you can see how they might get your username confused with Randi's.

I know what the small tag is, but what's the big tag?  I've tried a couple different things, but none of them work.

There isn't a big tag. The moderators can post "big text" because they are permitted to use HTML in their posts.

Failing that you could use transparant GIFs, but everyone will hate you forever for it.

Yeah, I'm sort of wondering the same thing as well since germanfryfan's method didn't work for me.

Depends on the software you use.
I use PSP 6 or PSP 8

Both have the short-cut [CTRL]+[SHIFT]+[v], then click on the background of the pic and it's done.

There are many other imaging-softwares which can do it (like PhotoShop, etc.) but I haven't tried them yet.

It is possible that after you typed the short-cut PSP asks to set the pic to 256 colors. Hit "OK"!

Maybe the menus in the English version is a bit different from the German, but the short-cut should work.

Do you know whether its possible in flash, seeing as I don't own PSP?

I just tried it in Flash MX 6.
When you export your graphic (Short-cut : [CRTL]+[ALT]+[SHIFT]*) to a gif-sequence, you have to check the option "Transparent". But I don't know which color Flash takes as transparency.

Yeah, you could do that.  Or, you could just post it in the Avatar Shop thread.  Which one do you think is easier?

The PSP7-way

The Irfanview-way

Althoug I only know Flash 5, my experience with the "Save As Gif"-option in Flash is less than desirable, in fact the results are downright horrible.

I just went to the homepage and all the links to the boards were blue.  Has anyone else ever had this problem?  Like the words "General Discussion" were blue.  Same with all the rest.

"blue" ? What do you mean? The links are blue, they turn purple after you visited them. When you clear your internet-history + temporary files they get blue again.

Or were you thinking of the links backgrounds?

a picture to explain it:

Oh.  Good thing, too.  I used Disk Cleanup, Spybot, Norton, and Disk Defragmenter today.  Shows they worked. :D  I better click 'em soon, that blue-purple is starting to freak me out.
