does anyone else have the problem that for some reason some thread pages are now very wide? i.e the page is as wide as the largest post spread out on one line.

Yeah, that does happen sometimes, but not often. Usually because of a humongous picture or something.

It can also happen if someone includes a long word (usually gibberish) in a post.  For example:

01010110101010101010101010110 10101010101010110101010101010 10110101010101101010101010110 10101010101

Can you post a link to a page where you had the problem then it should be easy to see why it happened in that case.

Check out M Jackson's post, it has a gigantic link in it with no spaces, so the page stretches in order to keep it on the one line, and not split the word/URL/useless crap up...

even with the wide page the link goes over two lines, but whats strange is that the second line starts quite early in the link.

There appears to be a return after the ? when you go edit and view it.
