If you're reading this, then I've pencilled you in for the PEELies Council of 9. Me, Tweek, and Teral for being Council vets, LAN for forcing the issue

I was rather surprised myself.

Uh, he started this thread?

I dunno, really.  Semblance of organisation, kicking Nix into action, or being remotely bothered about it.  I suppose.

Shouldn't you wait until the end of the year for this?  We still have most of November and all of December to get through, and other things could happen in that time.  I guess it's okay to get the "Council" together, but you should wait before you make nominations.

I don't think that matters, because it's over a year since the last one, and therefore this years is due.

We did last year's in September, I believe.

And everyone needs to stop whining.  I just said taking applications, not considering them.  Geez.  Give us some time.

In fact, last year's results were done by November 13th -- three days from now.

I remember Sarge bringing up the topic of the PEElies for this year a couple of months back. Why isn't he on the panel...?

Well I have thought of another idea for an award. 'PEELs poster guy/gal for sexaholism' this award would go to the person who has allowed their mind to take up residence in a gutter. This person will frequently rape people in the chat room, and makes many references to sex and things relating to sex. One might just conclude, this person has a problem.(see sexaholic) (plz if you don't get help at Charter, get help somewhere)

sexaholic: Someone who is addicted to sex, and just can't seem to get sex off their minds.

I am not a regular PEELer so I donīt think I would be nominated for anything even though I do have some ideas for the PEELies:

-Best PEELer return (for thee who left PEEL a long time ago and came back better than before)

-Martin Luther King PEEL award (for the ones who had no difference with newbies and helped them no matter how they behaved)

-Creativity Award (for those who had amzed us with his/her creativty,[language, FanArt, PEELodies, threads]

-Computer Nerd award (the title sel-explains it all  ;)

Eww what bad ideas are those, well at least I try.

I was thinking more along the lines of Speli...

I think Nef's ideas sound good to me, don't see why not.

I think if FemJesse wins an award. She will win the most missed PEELetter award, but I can only hope I will be proven wrong.

Also, I think we should have a 'Stephen Hawking' PEELie/award. This would be the opposite of the 'Legally Blonde' PEELie/award that I came up with earlier. I don't think I need to explain the 'Stephen Hawking' award to anyone.

Thanks for catching that spelling error, Speli, and yea, I am sure you will be nominated for that award.(if it is added to the list of awards that is)

The PEELies Committee strive to maintain an aura of class around the award. Hence why "Biggest Spammer" and dislike was rejected. I believe awarding people for saying sex in every second post and generally posting gutter qaulity fall in the same category.

But some of the categories suggested have potential. Still, there are still no guarantee we'll use them, or even consider expanding on the category list. We wouldn't want this to turn into the Academy Awards. :Sideshow Bob shudder:

Anyway, when is the comittee going to be selected?
It should be elected so different points of view can decide what categories stay and what others leave.

<Chris Rock Award for Most Creative Use of Profanity>
^I guess that award must have slipped though security then.

Well, back to the drawing board.

Sorry to bust your hump, but the spelling's still wrong. It's "Stephen", not "Stepthen."

I'd like to lock in D. And yes, Eddie, that is my final answer.

I think someone in the group should be a more recently joined person. (Lan would be good, yes) Because the older PEELers seem to ignore some of the newer ones... or so it seems.

So to sum up, yes, LAN.gnome should be on the coucil.   :)
