Zombie Avatars

The scenario is : I changed my avy a few times recently, to see what they looked like out in the field... But ever since i changed to Dwight, some of my newer posts still have my last avy... (Hermes Stamping himself)

All of the new posts ive made after the change have Dwight, and all of the 'ancient' posts do too, but the one week (apprx) old ones still have Hermes...

I might be the only one getting this, but check here, for me at least, it still has my old avy... http://www.peelified.com/cgi-bin/Futurama/1-002218-1/

I remember comming across this before. Have you tried refreshing on that page?

Many times... Hermes is still there...

EDIT : Are you getting Hermes on that page too aslate?

EDIT 2 : I just did a test post and that seemed to have fixed the whole thread... i'm still not sure about others though

I'm seeing Dwight in that thread.

It's "activity" related. The program doesn't update the thread (and change avatars) until a thread have new activity, ie new posts.

That would explain it, i would say that you saw the thread after i posted that test post Teral

Ahh well i cant find any other old ones with Hermes, so basically i'm sorry i wasted your time

That's because pages are cached for a while and only updated after that time, or when the cached version is invalidated (new post to the thread) or if the page is pushed out of the cache. Live with it

If you use a custom one and then keep changing from custom to custom it auto-updates doesn't it? (As it uses the same image URL)

Yeah, if you refresh. They are cached locally on your computer for a while otherwise.
