I have noticed that we have a lot of unsed threads.
How about if we delete all the threads that are over a month or 2  months old? Or the ones that nobody seems to be adding to anymore?

I'm so smart!

dont you dare say you already have a post for this cause thats what i'm trying to stop

No. We can lose old discussions, PEEL history and old threads are useful as you can see what other's have already posted on the subject, and some that don't post anymore.

I'm with aslate.

We've had this discussion a few times before, Consensus was that we wanted to keep those threads. For one they contain good information about Futurama, you could almost say they're the history of Futurama and the way fans view it. Secondly they don't cause any trouble, as long as noone bumb them just to say "hey, I posted that. K3wl!"

Thridly, it's a way for new members to catch up on the commulative knowledge just by reading. That way you wont get flamed to a sinder (don't worry, it wont happen anyway) for bringing up Leela's parents in "I Second That Emotion" or Nibblers shadow in SP3K as "new" discoveries.

But in some ways it is a good idea..instead of purely closing the "Hi im new" threads why cant we delete it entirely?

yeah, this way the noobies can read up on the golden days of Peel, when FF was the hottest girl and all the various "i'm leaving" threats everyone made and then petered out on

Not to mention the various shrines build in their honor, trying to persuade them to come back.

Okay, that only happened on one occasion, but still...

PEEL is really big now that threads that are not posted in all the time. They are forgotten about. Some of them are also deleted because they are either not going by the rules (a lets Spam Thread for example) Other forums, some Simpsons, don't mind too much Spam though. PEEL is smart and does not! PEEL Rules.

Did Winna only just start being this shitposty, or is this an aspect of them that I've completely forgotten about? Lol

I wouldn’t go so far as to call it shit-posting—or, if so, it is transcendentally sublime shit-posting, shit-posting as high art—but in answer to your question, it’s the latter. ;)

Yeah, winna has always been like that, he just hadn't been posting for a while until recently.

I'm glad that he's back.

Years from now, someone might make a monument in your honor of which you also won't remember. But you'll be there, posting your winning posts nonetheless. Win on, winna. Win on.

After spending time here and living through the occasional winnapocalypse, this was nuthin'. Not even a 2.5 on the shit-posting moment magnitude scale :) Also, beware of wolves in winna's clothing...

<shock of random neuron firing hard> My dad was born in a town in Massachusetts that had a population of maybe 8000. Lived there through high school. But he always used "ain't", and especially "nuthin'" whenever dispensing a life tip to me. And I only just now wondered where the hell he might have picked up that habit.
