Sex (not that, another one :-)

To administration.
The wish is simple: to have a feature sex in profile. (male, female, or “do not know” if someone want :-).
Because some times it is a bit confusing. For example, my sex is male but I want Amy’s picture as avatar. And often it’s hard to determine somebody’s sex by what he (or she) write in his (her) posts.
So what do you think of this?

Adding fields to the profiles is a bit risky and stuff, but I guess I will look into it over the day. Other fields than AIM/Sex? I don't want to overload the thread display, so I'd probably add it to the profile view only

I say yes, it's a good idea. I saw this in
<------the block on a Operation Flashpoint forum -just a symbol for male of female.
But it being Operation Flashpoint, there weren't a huge number of women wondering about anyway   ...

Anywho I voted yes, although it's already decided. I think it would be a good idea to have a tiny icon under our avatars, or even where ICQ is supposed to be. ICQ could go into the profile. I dunno, just a thought.
Little icons like this wouldnt be too intrusive (these are from a msg board my sister visits, probably not best to use these)

Ok .. added it to the registration process now, too. Default is "unknown", so it's not privacy invading. I already had icons for the sex, will test some where to put them:
male
female
unknown

Hehe, this is turning into a game of spot the symbol. Of the two Ive seen I prefer it top right hand corner as oppose to just in front of the rank.

Hmm, the "unknown" symbol looks demented. I think it would be better if the unknown option showed no symbol at all.

Oh well I like it my name is a feminine Latin noun, sometimes people think I am female and Muscus domesticus looks strange and isn’t the scientific name.
