Considering what happened last time she started a clone of an existing thread, Frida should have known better than to open that.

Well, the circumstances were slightly different. This time I wasn't blatantly rude and outspoken about how horrid the last thread was. I presumed that it was okay since it was past page 20. The moderators, wherever they have been (I don't remember them being this lackadaisical a few years ago, must be new management, haven't really noticed other than Xanfor), would've shut down the old thread anyways.

And, honestly, I don't know better. I read the rules when I joined six years ago and have been coasting on those laws since. I didn't bother reading the rules on WikiPEELia, primarily for the fact that I already read the rules before. And, as rude as this may sound, I don't even see the link for WikiPEELia anywhere convienent. I always thought that just a gag, unofficial wiki for PEEL anyways. Only now after searching for ten seconds do I spot a link on the bottom of the right sidebar on the front page. I don't remember it being there two or three years ago... And I have rarely posted on PEEL in the last couple of years as well.

I do feel sorry for opening a thread prematurely, but I really am not sorry. It was time. And I have been thread-happy recently. It's just that, over the 6+ years on PEEL, I have just reached 1k in post count and as of typing this post, have created a grand total of... eight threads. Eight. I just want to give more to PEEL to have some little stake of importance. And my threads, to my knowledge, other than the current news thread, have never taken off. I just would once like to be the creator of a major thread, rather than some one-week newbie who doesn't seem to put in the effort to have somewhat grammatically-correct posts.

I love PEEL, and I apologize for my long absences. I check PEEL everyday along with my email (not my Frida account, I rarely check that), my facebook (which I post even less on, weather.com, and Equestria Daily. I'm always snooping around, but I often feel that during the moments I snoop, I don't have enough time or have the mindset to write out a quality of post up to my standards.

Don't worry Frida, you're alright as far as I'm concerned.  The wiki link came after the wiki became hosted on peel's server I think, and it's easy to oversee.  Most of it is jokes (since it's mostly about people), but it has useful information too.  I link to it when I want people to know about avatars for example.

If you like it, why are you complaining about it? Using passive-aggressive sarcastic statements to call attention to it, rather than asking if it will eventually be implemented is just going to make you seem like you're being an arse about it (and makes it more likely that [-mArc-] will ignore the issue, because he doesn't like pandering to jackasses).

An example: This is the sort of situation for which the facepalm smiley would be a useful addition to the PEEL set. Sadly, it isn't implemented as such, and I need to go find it and copy the image code each time. Whilst I have asked many times for [-mArc-] to please install the facepalm smiley into PEEL's official set, he has so far either been too busy or given way too few fucks to actually do so. It may be that so far, I have been the one asking, and he dislikes pandering to jackasses (I'm pretty sure he thinks I'm a jackass) so he's been ignoring my heartfelt entreaties.

The shifty face wasn't supposed to mean anything. It was just there for decoration. Also, the "I like how this blah blah doesn't do this, etc." is a specific term used by few. It's obvious you'd not understand that and explore my comment of it's "assumed" identity. It was supposed to be mutually funny in asking for such a thing to happen, but alas, it appears it is no longer. I wasn't trying to be an arse, let alone even officially complaining. If I was complaining it would be a lot longer than that.

I have no idea why the shifty smiley was implemented.  I've requested that a few smileys be added, but that might be a bit overboard.  I like using some of them.  That said, looking for the images themselves shouldn't be too hard if you use the peel wiki.

So for some reason when I quote people's posts it sometimes quotes it three times, when I only click the quote button once. Annoying to have to edit to fix it up, especially if it's a large post. Also, rarely but recently the screen is stuck on full zoom on a page after I reload it. I can't zoom out unless I reload again. Note these problems are on my phone, and most likely it's a problem with the phone. But I would still like to see the compatibility of PEEL with phones tweaked a bit for easier maneuverability and less glitches. Just a point-out.

I've heard of these problems on phones before, Meerkat. There doesn't seem to be a solution for the triple quoting, but I'm told the full zoom can often be fixed by turning the screen sideways then back again after the page has loaded.

FYI

Hello everyone, this is actually Monster_Robot_Maniac.
I was trying to change my eMail to my Gmail account, and when I changed it, it said a confirmation code had been sent. I waited around for a while, but I never got it. I tried sending the code to my Gmail a bunch of times, but still nothing. It won't let me log back in to my Monster_Robot_Maniac account until i get the code, which i can't get!!
I'm worried I may have put a typo in my 'change email' box. Can somebody (who knows how, of course) help me get back into my old account please?!?!
I can provide you, the helper of me, with the Email it was meant to go to.
Please help, and thanks!!!

Same thing happened to me, Urllgd. Except that I was trying to switch TO having a ridiculous 'fro. That's why I'm back to a stock avatar.

I had that error when I was trying to use my halloweenatar, and I fixed it by re-naming the file and trying again (I did try to downsize the avatar, but it wasn't really working out so well, and I tried the re-named file out of sheer optimism). So that might work for you.

I'm actually not sure why this is occurring.  I'll have to make a consultation to figure out why.  More information will be helpful though... what's the filesize for the image you were trying to use UnrealLegend?  I'll presume it's a .png unless otherwise stated as well.

I'm actually amused by the idea of anyone in charge here agreeing with me on most things.

You've been linked to the rules enough times to know how things go, and given your ratio of pointless chat-room-style posts to posts that actually contribute anything at all, I'm surprised more of your activity here doesn't get deleted.

I remember having a similar problem when first switching to my Paddy the Pelican avatar, as you might recall from this thread. I had the option of two very similar custom avatars - both of which met the custom PEEL avatar criteria just fine - yet only one would work, while the other just gave me an error message for some reason.

I do recommend attempting what totalnerduk suggested.  My best guess at the moment is that the server rejects files for some reason that have a same file name as a previous file... although there may now be a hard limit on filesize, I kind of doubt that's the case.

I'll try and investigate further into this phenomena and give you all an update, because it's a reproducible error that keeps popping up and should be corrected or at least addressed.

I'm a bit confused about DaveMason's shtick. He's a fake account, but looking through all his old posts, he doesn't seem to really have a personality. Is it meant to be that he's a little bit dim or something? Because a lot of his posts just seem like they could be done by normal PEELers.
