Remember to check the "Show signature"-box in the reply window, and it should work perfectly. Sig's only work with Reply, not quickpost.

If we had that some people would use their sigs in every post, if people really want to show their sigs it isn't too much effort for them to use reply.

Use the image tags: [ Img]*your URL here*[ /img] in your sig, and link it to a picture. Remember to leave out the spces in the brackets.

I like my Sig. I think it portrays my hatred of fox well enough, without being a long winded rant..

I will add a banner like graphic for the sig soo tho   :D

That's the general idea, man...

I'm not going to use my sig very often here at PEEL, because of it's size. You wouldn't mind if I used it, say a maximum once per 100 posts?

Yes, use that very moderately.  Not only does it take up a lot of screen space for us poor 760x800 users (on my laptop), but it's kind of load-heavy, for those 56K users.  Damn cool design though.

Otis, just reduce it by 80% to fit the rules, if there is a problem. It does look cool though

how about this?

You can use [SIG ]00001250.jpg[/SIG] without the space in your profile to display it

The reason I ask for small sigs is not that I hate them personally that much. I have aDSL and a resolution of 1152x864, but others don't. Let me calculate for you  ;)

Some one with 800x600 (pretty common, really) will have about 450 pixels height for the page (600 - start bar - window caption - statusbar - browser menues). That means, 3 of these 150 pixels sigs and the screen is full without any text. Add the already textless lines for the edit/quote buttons, the ----- line and so on and there is little left to read per screen.
Also, the sig was about 25kb. Many many people have 56k modems connecting with 3kb/s. That means 8 seconds loading just for that one sig.
If it was for me, I'd disallow graphics in sigs alltogether, but I think many still want them.

If it's not too much trouble Travis, could you post a picture of your screen. I'm intrigued.

If you're intrigued because of the 760 x 800 resolution, I made a mistake, it's 600 x 800.  If you still want a picture, do you want a screenshot or an external picture?
