Unrelated, I know, but Frankie Boyle is funny in my opinion. I think most of us would be better off with bringing back the gender symbols.

Anyway, I am working on a few BwaBB avatars if anyone is interested, Such as Zoidberg in the Cartoon, Zapp with the hose, and Bender hugging is "First born son"

Additional: Here is the Zoidberg one I promised. The fish was the hard part because it was too dark to go over.

I didn't mean to suggest your intentions were devious - the multiple account comment was indeed a joke. At worst I was suggesting you were taking the generousity for granted by asking for four different avatars at the same time. I suppose I could've made the same objection to mole, but he didn't actually ask for all of them so I picked one and avatarized it.

I find your claimed inability to imagine what they will look like as avatars a bit odd, since they're barely larger than avatar size now. However, since doing all four will take less time than most single requests because the source image is just the chars on a white background, here ya go.

Trust me, I know that they are possibly the worst icons made by human. I was kidding and I was using one of the worst imaging systems to use: paint. Paint has very low expectation value. I should have said "Not great, but a disaster."

Since a lot of people ask this, let me try and clarify everything.



1. Click the profile button at the top of any PEEL page
2. Click on Forum Profile Information on the left hand side (bolded in picture)
3. Click on I will upload my own picture:
4. Click on browse and find the file on your harddrive (save it before doing this)
5. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Change Profile

Now note that you can only have a custom avatar if you have been given permission.  That's where I come in:  I can give (and take away) that permission.  Anyone who already had a custom avatar before coming to PEEL 2 automatically has permission to upload their own custom avatars.  People who don't yet have that permission will have to request it.  I'd prefer if you showed exactly which avatar you wanted to use when you request permission.  This tells me that you understand what sorts of avatars are allowed under our standards as defined on the Avatar page on wikiPEELia.

Once you have permission to upload custom avatars, you can do so at any time; ie, you don't have to ask for permission first.  If your avatar doesn't follow guidelines, and I see it though, I will send you a private message via PEEL explaining to you that your avatar does not meet the correct criteria and ask you to change it in whatever relevant means necessary.

There is one exception to these rules that I am allowing.  If you had a custom avatar that did not meet the guidelines (they were redefined by mArc right before we came to PEEL 2 and there is a link to it on the Avatar page) then I will not bother you about changing it; I figure even though it may not meet the standards, it was allowed to be uploaded by one of my predecessors and can thus be kept.  That does not mean I will allow you to upload previous avatars that were earlier accepted, but you changed off of before we moved to PEEL 2.  I also reserve the right to void this exception in the future if it seems necessary, but for now you shouldn't have to worry.  An example of something falling under this loophole would be M0le's current avatar; it isn't acceptable under current criteria because it is not cartoonish, and it is not related to Futurama.  However, assuming he doesn't change it, I'll allow him to continue using that one.  I also might allow him to change it back to that if he changes his avatar for seasonal type things such as the halloween request he has made.

I hope that helps explain things a bit.  Cinimod, do you need permission to have a custom avatar?  Without permission the I will upload my own picture: option will not show up in your profile.  Please show me which avatar you were planning on using, if that's the case, so that I can add you.
