Worble, I don't know if you have read it already, but I will link you anyhow: my/our explanation.

I know I am not an admin, not even an official that should say anything here, but still...

edit: the easiest way would be to simple ignore it, just like all the other 100+ (just a guess) active member do.

btw. there is no word "u".    ;)

Ok, well... then you may wait for an official word on it. All I can say though is that chat/l33t/aol speak shouldn't be used here and "u" is that.

Wait for a mod to explain, or not.  :)

You're right. This is a forum, not a published book. You win a gold fucking star.

However, the people who read the posts on this forum happen to be more likely to read a published book than many others, what with them having more than a handful of brain cells to rub together.

Thus, we like to see things spelled superbly, and wherever possible, punctuated properly. We like alliteration, too.

For many users of PEEL, English is a second language, and therefore easier for them to read if it is spelled and punctuated correctly.

The ignorance and unintelligence you display by persisting with your foolish ways will shame only you, and result in the protracted enemity of your fellows here.

I should advise caution, Worble. Caution and proper typing. These will see you through a long PEEL career.

Ok Whatever. When I am on the internet I like to use shorthand for faster and easy access typing. If you insist in me typing like a nerd then I shall do so. By the way I am not unitelligent but my typing you would think I was a Jock although I am not.
P.S- Would you like me to pose Rhetorical Questions and post Onomatopoeia in my messeges to add more feel and emotion to it. I can't beleive people can get so 'up-tight' about shorthand even though I am constantly moaned at because of my infernal full stops in Instant Messeges. Just as I stop putting full stops everywhere, people want them back. I shall go back to how I used to write for the sake of a few geeks.

How do nerds type? Is there a special nerd technique for typing that I am unaware of, such as using both feet instead of hands?

We don't care how you press the keys, bucko. Just that you learn to properly spell, punctuate, and if possible, turn a more eloquent phrase.

You might want to practice on the post above (I can be just as condescending as you. Moreover, I can spell condescending).
