I searched to see if there was already a thread and if there is it only proves my point.
I have a list of improvements:
1. Ability to search the whole site instead of section by section.*

2. No caps sensitive stuff I.E. Evil Mirror Kif as opposed to evil mirror kif

3. ability to search back more then 6 months.
*very important

thank you for your time.

Well, if people didn't use all caps for thread names, they might get somewhere with seaches.

If it's not enough, do a site search on Google.

Doing a search of everything i presume would be too much for the server to handle, we've already had multiple crashes due to simply posting.

I proposed a change of the Search function some time ago, too.

But:

1. A search within all boards would Proably cause the UBB-engine to waste too much prozessor-time, you may claim that it is possible on other message board systems, but take a look at [-mArc-]'s answer. Beside, I don't think it is that hard to search for a certain keyword within more than only one board. I never had any problems with that.

2. If you're talking about the keywords I guess that they aren't case sensitive at all. If you're talking about the "search by username" option then yes, unless you chose "partial name match...". I.E a search for the partial name "mirror kif" gives your posts.

3. You can search back for more than 6 month. There isn't any restriction on the time, unless you choose one of the options of "search by date"

What I suggested is that the search resutls are sorted the other way around, from new to old, instead.

Also, your question would have been better placed in the Few Questions/Suggestions-thread.     ;)

Good one Aslate    :laff:

Yes, like your name, CAPS are evil. Don't do that!

efk, nobodys gonna do anything about it. Just like the mispelling of "discussion" on the general discussion forum.

It isn't a misspelling anymore Benderboy123. It became a tradition over the years and therefore it won't be changed.   ;)

see it as a mixed form of "discussion" and "(to) diss", since it happens quite often in there  :p.

The search function is useless anyways... Why would anyone need to search for something on PEEL? Jeeeezzzz...
