Hi!

I recently watched Star Trek 4, in which the Enterprise crew comes back in the nineties to take bring a whale back to the future to prevent the destruction of humanity...

Kirk encounters a woman who's in charge of a whale which is gonna be released to freedom. On one point she says: "... I'm a whale biologist."

I watched it in German so I cannot tell if it was translated right.

Do you think that it's been taken from there or have you found another possible source?

She IS a whale biologist.
I wathed it recently too, and it reminded me of futurama a lot, but i don't think it's related...

Yeah, but when she says this sentence, it appeared quite unnecessary to me..
