Yes he is! Wow.
Aren't the Looney toons under license of AOL-TimeWarner?
How come that good ol' Zoidy of FOX is there?  :hmpf:

Thats his non-copyright protected brother Zoidfarb.

It looked like Daffy was talking to him, did anyone actually see the episode?

Maybe Zoidberg got tired of being with FOX, so he quit and joined AOL-TimeWarner, but it didn't work out so he joined FOX again.  :)

Maybe Matt Groening was a Loony fan and let them use Zoidberg.

Well, the Futurama animators still have to eat, and FOX isn't paying them anymore.  Obviously some of them went to work for Warner Bros.  I guess they thought that it would be fun to put Zoidberg in an episode of Duck Dodgers.  What's FOX going to do about it, cancel Futurama again?

Maybe putting random characters from other shows in the background is allowed as satire...I bet MAD magazine doesn't have to get permission to put various cartoon characters in the background of their movie parodies. Anyway, it's only fair--remember the X-files episode of the Simpsons?

If this is photoshopped... I hope someone can fess upto it  :p

If it isn't, I suppose the fact that CN owns the Looney Tunes characters (or rather Turner tv does) and also owns the rights to show futurama, maybe there's not legal problem with it....

What's that law, you know the one, that protects parodies from copyright infringement suits?

I think the credits say it all:

"Written by Eric Kaplan"

"Directed by Rich Moore"

I've seen it. Zoidy's definately in there.

Pretty damn cool, that is.

Hooray! Futurama characters are achieving a kind of un-life as minor pop-culture items and fond memories for the former staff! We live... AGAIN!

I have friends who work at Rough Draft and they did "The Whizzard of Ow" and  "Attack of he Drones". There's some Futurama-esque animation in the Duck Dodgers cartoon. It's pretty amazing stuff. Hopefully they'll release it soon.
Kaplan and Moore are gods!

Sorry to double post, but I've also heard that Rich Moore and Claudia Katz will be handing out Futurama and Rough Draft hats and t-shirts at the San Diego Comic Con to anyone who finds them in the crowd. It has something to do with the RDS Testsite. I'll post more as info comes in.

It's intersting, the show is getting more publicity now than it was on Fox. I mean, there have been numerous references to it in  "The Simpsons" (not surprising) this past season, and this appearance just adds to that.

w00t!  Maybe now that he's a background character, Zoidy will get a free meal!  ;)  That's really cool that they actually put a Futurama character in the background of something OTHER than The Simpsons.

That's pretty neat, though. Great eye, and in this kind of case, it's not copyright enfringement, it's an "homage"

Cool.  But I bet Zoidy found his way into there accidentally seeing a "all you can eat buffet" sign outside a resturant and ended up in there sitting in that chair wondering "Wheres the food and what-not?!"

Backdraft is the jedi council, theyre in attack of the clones haha. The whole jedi council in attack of the clones is full of strange different alien jedi's, maybe they just ran out of strange alien ideas and got zoidy. Good on em...

You can see an alien that is similar to (but legally distinct from) the Great Gazoo in the background as well.  Perhaps there is a "cartoon alien from the future"-theme.

Actually, this from a Duck Dodgers cartoon made for theaters (though it's only been released on the Austrailian DVD for Looney Tunes: Back in Action soo far) and is not part of the Duck Dodgers TV show.
