Just got the lastest copy of SFX - which is the UK's biggest selling Sci Fi magazine - and on the letters page there is a copy of a letter written entirely in Alien Language. Unfortunatly the mag doesn't provide a translation, but from the response I gather that the letter writer is complaining that they don't feature Futurama much, which is true. They have had two minor interviews but it wasn't that much.

I'll try to get a picture up soon. I don't have a scanner, but I'll try to take a close up digital photo. If someone has the mag and would like to do a scan, please do so. I think we should all write/e-mail to get them to feature Futurama more. For example last month they had a free book of quoteable Sci-fi lines. Not one from Futurama

Sorry if this has been posted already, i searched and nothing came up.

Alright, man!  Do you know how many n00bs don't use the search button? *thumbs up*  Anyway, how can they make that book of sci-fi quotes with no Futurama?

They pretty much filled it with Farscape and Firefly quotes, as well as the usual Buffy/Star trek stuff.

But Firefly...? Futurama lasted longer than THAT

Surely they had to have some funny lines to lighten up the book?

I will try and pick up an issue as soon as I find it. In the meantime try and get a scan up, as I'm interested to translate the letter.

"Dear SFX.

"Please explain why you have never done a feature on Futurama. It's brilliant. The funniest sci-fi show of all time. And it (sic) better than The Simpsons.

 From
 John Speed
 Sheffield

PS. How many other geeks have sent you lettetrs (sic) in code"

And is that number proportional to the amount of geeks who sent them letters with no discernable content, I wonder?  ;)

Thanks Mouse On Venus.

Anyone wondering, the exact reply was -

"We Have! We've interviewed Bender (SFX99) and David X Cohen (SFX106)! And no, John, We've never recieved a letter in code before!"

I still think follow up letters need to be made   :)

If anyone could find/scan those interviews, that would be cool, and us in the U.S. would appreciate it!  :D

I might (and thats a big might) still have the Bender one. No promises though, as I recently threw a lot of back issues away.

Definatly don't have the David X Cohen one though
