Which season is the funniest?

Okay, you guys will probably all want to lynch me for this, but I'm curious about something. I remember watching Futurama on TV when it was still on, and laughing pretty hard, (but I was still only an occasional watcher). So now, however many years later (I forget), I thought I would buy some of the DVD sets. I bought season 1 and season 3 and I hardly laughed at all in either. Is it just that season 2 or 4 is funnier or have I somehow changed? What season do most people say is the best?

I'd say the episodes from the season 4 DVD are my favourites because my favourite episodes are Jurassic Bark, The Sting, Obsoletely Fabulous and a few other ones from that season. By the way, welcome to PEEL, Morbo Fan

Each season has its strengths though. At a push I'd choose season 3, then 4.

Tough question, overall on humour most likely season 2. But as Coilette said, each season has its own strengths.

For me, season 2 was the gag season, with episodes like X-Mas Story, A Head In The Polls, The Deep South and The Problem With Popplers packed full of choice gags. By contrast, season 4 represented a drop in the gag writing abilities of the Futurama staff. More deep and engaging the plots may have been, but on the jokes tip, there was a little too much cliché mocking and non-sequiters, and not enough strong gags.

My favorite is season 3.
These Episodes have it all, enough tear jerkers, many shippy moments and lots of jokes!

Ah, but GFF, this poll is about which season is the funniest, not necessarily which one is the best. I think Season 2 is the funniest but not necessarily the best overall.

Yes, I agree with you on both fronts, MOV. Season 2 was definitely the funniest season, and I think it's second best overall, just missing its number one slot to season three. Season three was both touching and funny, even though it had a few average episodes in it. But season four seemed like they were forcing themselves to write gags, and it was all about characters and plot, which is all well and good, but I watch Futurama primarily to laugh. But still, it had some good episodes, such as Parabox and Leela's Hurdles, but... yeah...
Back on track, season two is the funniest.

Season 2 is definitely the funniest, and Season 4 is really deep.  Seasons 1 and 3 are funny enough.

Season 2 = funniest. It has some great episodes in there such as Xmas Story and Anthology of Intrest 1. My favorite Futurama Season by far.

Numero dos. Not only is it the funniest, but it's the best overall. I don't watch TV to think you know. I watch to be amused.

Whatchu talking bout Aqua...season one is dynamite The Series Has Landed was hilarious and LLLIS is legend also.
That being said I am re-watching series two and I have to say it is just as good, TLOTE is great and War is the H Word will always have a special place in my heart...*Sigh*
However, as season 3 is the first series I brought it's probably my favourite, what with Roswell that End Well 'n' all. In answer to your question Morbo Fan I think its just you that changed man..Futurama will never die!!

I'd say number three. It was when the show was riding on a wave of confidence and had some classic episodes. Season 4 comes a close second.
