Other than the obvious Futurama game I might add.

Anyway, I rented The Chronicals of Riddick, Escape from Butcher Bay, and I am just starting the game, watching the opening credits roll by. Only a few names after Vin Diesal I see John Dimaggio right in the center of the screen, but thats it, not what he did.

In hindsight, it could have been John Di Maggio, I forget, but I think I saw it right. Could this be another John? Or might he be doing some voices for the game? Or am I just rambling at this point?

I thought I should just draw this to everybodies attention for better or for worse.

I think he's just branching out into voice acting.   :)

But seriously, he does several voices in games, Final Fantasy X for one, but I assume he just takes work whenever he wants to. If a developer is offering enough money, who knows who they could hire! Christopher Walkin, maybe, or William H. Macy, perhaps.   ;)

Is he going to do the voice in the movie as well?

Edit: By "the voice" I mean the voice of General Grievous.

I know Billy West has done lots of pranks for Crank Yankers.. But which calls have John done? I can't recall.. I heard John[I'm sure it was him] as a bad guy on Teen Titans recently. But Drakken is one of my favorite voices of his![Nancy Cartwright plays Rufus, did you know? That means along with my talking Bart, I own two dolls that speak with her voice. Creepy]

Actors are always looking for work, so he has probably just taken up the chance to do some more voice acting.

Update: I finished Escape from Butcher Bay. John Dimaggio plays as the various prison Guards. I remember one line that sounded like him. Something like "We got a runner" or something.

Wow, I always love hearing about the various voices that our beloved actors do. I remember my surprise when I was randomly reading through my FFX booklet to see that John did not one, but two voices! (Kimahri and Wakka) My friend couldn't believe it either. (She's obsessed w/ Kimahri and isn't a big fan of Futurama, so I wonder...)

Actually, I just noticed that RD studios were also responsible for the 3D animation in that Clone Wars cartoon series. Hooray for Rough Draft!

(Yes, visiting their site seems to have gotten me all interested in their weelings and dealings. Or maybe it was loaded with subliminal content. Must... destroy... mankind... and... respect... animators...)

Phil Lamarr does a lot of game voices too I think.  He's in Metal Gear Solid 2.

Yep. He's Vamp, the bi-sexual knife expert. What a champ.  :D

Phil (and Dave Herman) also did some voices in Jak 2, and no doubt, will be doing voices for the upcoming Jak 3...

An excellent resource for questions like these is imdb.

You'll find John DiMaggio, Billy West, Phil LaMarr, Tress MacNeille and all the rest.
