I'm sure it's been thought of already, but would direct sponsorship of Futurama be possible? I'm sure that if futurama came out direct-to-DVD, or something like that, people would buy it. Or maybe it could come out on some sort of premium channel, like HBO? I don't know, I'm kind of ignorant when it comes to TV and licensing and stuff.

Yeah, sponsorship would be great in theeory. Fox, however, own the rights to Futurama which would,therefore, prove very costly to whoever was to intervene. Also, each episode costs over £1m to make. I dont know exact facts but, there you go.
