Simpsons then Futurama now what's next?

Futurama might have failed to grow beyond 5 seasons but why doesn't Matt Groening try another cartoon?

your thoughts on what it might be or could be about?

Yes, because I'm sure your idea is absolutely REVOLUTIONARY.

No.

I don't know about a new series but a holiday special or something might be nice. Olive the Other Reindeer was fairly decent, though somewhat tame (after all it was primarily aimed at children). It might also be cool to see an animated mini-series of some kind.

I think it was just David X. Cohen working on that, or have you heard something I haven't. *ears tingle in anticipation of Groening gossip*

I was disappointed when I found out this was Matt Groening's fault. It made me cringe. They can't all be winners I guess.

Meh, there've been rumours about some sorta highschool rock band show floating around for years... and that's about it.

I think this has been done before but I won't bother searching. Well, as long as the next cartoon is a comedy, and as funny as Futurama (almost impossible)then I will be happy.

Did somebody say FIVE series?  Have I missed something here?

Anyway, The Simpsons used to be great, but it's a bit hit & miss these days.  Futurama was superb from start to finish, but ended too early.

You've missed the fact that in the U.S, Futurama's production seasons were split up into five seperate seasons.

I clicked on this thinking you meant
"Simpsons > Futurama > ????" and I was about to go upside your head.

But anyway, Groening might do a new cartoon, but if he does, it'll probably be his last. He doesn't seem to have too much interest in starting another series.
