Futurama has just been nominated for Best Prime Time Animated Show at the annual Annie awards. The awards reward achievements in film and TV animation. Suprisingly there was no nomination for Best Direction. Futurama has been nominated each year for it, with Brian Sheesley winning last year for "Why Must I be...", so it's very strange not to be nominated this year.
Not suprisingly Shrek looks like it's going to clean up this year with a gigantic 12 nominations.
Discuss...  :)

I'm on Brian Sheesleys' team for show 12 right now. I've known him since way back at Klasky Csupo. I saw his 2 daughters for the 1st time today. Cute little munchkins. Brian's a really funny guy. His production methods are a bit different than others, & they make good sense. It requires a lot more 'overseeing' on his part, but he's up to the task.

We're up against Invader Zim, The Fairly OddParents, The Simpsons and Time Squad.

Ron Weiner is also nominated for "Luck of the Fryrish" in the "WRITING"-category (a sure winner), and John DiMaggio is nominated in the "VOICE ACTING BY A MALE PERFORMER"-category for "Bendless Love".

Time Squad? How in the world did that crappy Peabody and Sherman ripoff get nominated?

Kickass. Go Weiner!

P.S. What the hell is The Fairly OddParents, and why the hell is Time Squad nominated?

The only show of theese 4 I've heard about is the Simpsons, and Futurama will have no problems beating them. So here's hoping.

Well, there seems to be a difference between SHOULD and WILL when it comes to Simpsons versus Futurama at Awards...
