I don't know how it works in whatever commie country you live in, but around here the government doesn't control which shows get cancelled or not.  The networks can make bad programming decisions all on their own.  They don't need the government's help for that.

Meh. It's about the same. Though instead of dodgey sitcom after dodgey sitcom, we now get dodgey reality TV show after dodgey reality TV show. And once that's over and done with (I give 1-2 years, tops) then we'll be drowning in some other form of stupid 'entertainment.' Like pyramid fighting. Or Jesus boots.

TV has changed to serve the channel hopping viewers with ADHD. There are constant reminders of what's just happened, what's about to happen and what's just happened. Oh, and what's coming up. And then a reminder of what has happened. The show starts with a summary of the whole programme making it pretty pointless even watching it anyway.

Documentaries have even picked up this habit to compete with the reality shows. It saddens me.
