You're forgetting all the happy tears... like the ones in the Sting. Well, besides the death of Fry and all, the ending was happy, yet tearfilled. And Leela's Homeworld ending too. Crying doesn't always mean sad (though it did in Jurassic Bark).

Er, just noticed that Spacedal11 said pretty much the same thing. Great minds think alike  :D

I like to laugh. I like it so much, I always look for funny angles on jokes that I don't find funny. Like "That joke was so awful, I'll laugh at the writers patheticness! Ha ha ha!"
Alas, this method of show appreciation atrophies with extended use...

humor makes the world go round!

i mean, if matt and the others thought sadness was better, we wouldn't have approzimately 65 funny episodes and a small handful of sad ones.

I think the series did a good job of mixing emotional and funny episodes. By having around 65 funny ones (as Zeep said) and a handful of emotional ones kinda sprinkled over the top it really gave the series a nice touch.

I like both. I actually do both. Sad things, I'll cry, and funny things, I'll cry from laughter!

I'd have to say I like the    most, because I don't cry much. I do laugh alot at work, with my friends ... but with Futurama I cry. I'm a lonely cryer  :( But I enjoy that.
[background voice: "weirdo!"] I sure am!  :p

Allthough I love laughing too. it's kinda hard not to when u watch that shiny metal azz  ;)

I agree with you Draahgon. I'm not really the crying or emotional type (im just too macho) but some Futurama episodes really do get me sad and i cry. I find it amazing that a cartoon does that.

Crying all the way!!!
Sereosly, I love to laff, but I'm a bit of a shipper, so stuff like "the sting" "TKOS" and "parasites lost" really get to me.  Plus, I cry easly anyway.  I cryed at "The series has landed" for hevens sakes!!!  I still cry at it.  :(

I love to laugh at Futurama. It truly is the funniest show ever. But, it has attained greatness in my mind through its ability to invoke emotion. If it was simply humor, I would have still watched it a lot, because it has the most brilliant and clever jokes ever. But, the emotion, the fact that you truly care about these characters created my lifelong obsession in Futurama. 'Nuff said.  :D

I always prefer laughter - "Futurama" is one of the few TV shows in my lifetime that has literally made me laugh out loud, and that's what has brought me to the level of utter dorkdom I'm at for it today. I do love the emotional side, though. Depending on my mood I can get particularly teary whenever Fry's upset (he is, after all, my favorite), but the one line that always gets me is Leela's: "Please don't stop playing, Fry. I want to hear how it ends." Tears of a geek.
