There is news that the cast of the Simpsons are on strike due to low salaries.  They demand a raise from just $30,000 an episode.  They will not do any more episodes until FOX raises their salaries.  However, history has shown that when the cast of a FOX show demands raises, the show gets cancelled.  Think Married With Children.

This brings the question, how much did the cast of Futurama get paid per episode?

I think the Simpsons cast were only paid $30,000 up to 1998. I think their current pay is approximately $125,000 an episode.
In a commentary, Mauriche LaMarche mentioned something about $1,000 per episode (For him, anyway). I'm not sure about the main actors wages though.

That's a lot less than I would of thought, for Maurice LaMarche that is.

That's probably a misquote, but that's what I recall him saying.

They get paid in moon sapphires. But seriously that quoted sum for Maurice does seem a trifle low.

Whatever they got paid, they deserved more.

So if they got paid $80 billion per episode, they should've gotten more?

well Harry Shearer said this in 98
"It's tough to equate any of the money talk in TV with the real world, but it's equally tough to read Fox execs bragging about the astronomical profitability of the show with the greedy stance they've taken toward the cast."

Last I heard, they wanted 360K per episode.  Multiply that by 22 episodes per year, and you get more money than I'll ever see.  Except for the time I visited the Bureau of Engraving and Printing.

Are they paid based on the number of characters they do and length of time the character is on air?  Frank and Billy probably would have made the most.
