That show did not in any way belong on Nickelodeon... maybe late nite on adult swim.  Good Lord!  But it's fabulous.  It has that same abstract sense of humor that comes up a lot in Futurama as well.  Also - Jane's brother from Daria?  Superhot!!

MrsBender, I just have to say I've enjoyed your posts. Oh and to be on topic, DXC is sexy. No one knows his marital status, eh?

Thanks, KAH, as a new user, I appreciate that.  I'm pretty sure in the commentaries that I recall hearing DXC mention his kids.  How about John DiMaggio's marital status though?   :)

Side note... is anyone else super impressed with how smart these guys are?  There are like PhDs working on this show, degrees from CalTech, Harvard (this is all gleaned from the commentaries).  Holy crapolee.  How did these people get into TV?  I want to be like that......  :)

The wonderful world of message boards... They keep me from feeling like I am the only one I know who loves futurama THISSSSSSSS much.  At least all the other people I know who even know what Futurama is are guys...  :)

From some guy on that site's Futurama bit:
What's up with that guy marc at gotfuturama.com? His avatar creeps the hell out of me -- is that supposed to be him with a robotic eye or something? Any info would be appreciated.
You call that a nerd?
He doesn't even recognise a Borg [mArc] when he sees one!!
Don't worry, I told him off.  :D

Well, Bender will always be the man for me.  Okay, to rejuvinate this thread, how about this:  What is it that makes nerdy guys and cartoon characters so attractive?  Are nerdy guys the thinking woman's turn-on?  These are such weighty issues.

Here's a lovely quote from one of my favorite authors about nerds. You dont have to read it if you dont want to.
" Geeks tend to be focused on very narrow fields of endeavor. The modern geek has been generally dismissed by society because their passions are viewed as trivial by those who 'see the big picture.' Geeks understand that the big picture is pixilated and their high level of contribution in small areas grows the big picture. They don't need to see what everyone else is doing to make their part better."
Nerds are passionate, thats why I love them.

KAH, I agree with you.  I think one of the things underlying all the different defintions of nerd/geek/whatever that people talk about is a depth of passion for one particular pixel of the big picture, as your quote puts it.  yay for nerds!

I'm pretty sure he's not married anymore. He has kids and stuff, but I remember reading an interview where he mentions his "girlfriend".

So I guess he's attatched again. But not married! So just play the waiting game.

I've never seen David X Cohen, but going from the commentaries that I've heard him on I don't think he's sexy. Now Fry is more my type, shame he's just a cartoon character.

I wonder if the female half of the world splits up into two types of women... the Fry-loving type and the Bender-loving type... kind of the Beatles vs. the Stones, or ... well, you know what i mean....  :)

I know, why don't we go find Groening and force him to do an episode remake of AWOTM with every Fry lover as the Amazonians. And every Bender lover can be a fembot in another episode and do "snu-snu" with him.

MrsBender, don't worry you're not the only one over 20; I'm 23 if it makes you feel any better. And seriously, who cares if he's married and has a million kids?  Being cute, funny, and sexy aren’t contingent on a person’s marital status.

stareyedgirl, good to know i'm not the only non-high school person here.   :)  true indeed, what you say about having kids.  KAH can fantasize all she wants about DXC, and it doesn't matter if he has a harem and lots of nerdy babies.  hehehehee.  nerdy babies.

I don't know if I want children. I might have one and that'd be it. I want a life that doesn't revolve around my kids life and stuff.

u know what i find amusing!  that the posts by girls are all about 'WHO'S SEXIER, WHO FIND HIMS SEXY!' hahah how predictable are us chickies!

I confess i never saw the appeal in David X.  I'm reallllly picky tho haha!  I did have a crush on the simpsons character Troy Meclure tho, he was gorgeous i loved his voice!!!

And yes good to know i'm not the only futurama obsesser out there!  I live in Australia and so it costs me ALOT MORE to get all the silly merchanise but it's always worth it!

hahaha right on smurfbabe.  well, you know, there are all these threads here in peel i recently discovered (and sort of wish i hadn't) with like soft core anime chicks in photos in the message threads... make me feel totally justified sitting around here talking about which futurama character has the hottest voice.  which btw, is clearly bender.   :)

Completely.  If guys can ogle cartoon tatas, we can talk about who's sexy and who's not.  As far as sexy voices go, MrsBender, I think you're right, Bender's got the sexiest.  After watching the commentaries, does Billy West kinda creep anyone else out?  That could just be me.
