I would just give them the link and get them to do it themselves. Best to go about it the proper way.

Oh, and I signed up... but I'm not saying what my number is! Ha!

Not if you use the same e-mail address.  Why not send your friends the link and ask them to sign it?

[EDIT]Damn, Ranadok beat me to it.

Well, I tried to help out a bit, posted the link in a few places, got yelled at. I still don't think the petition will work, but hopfully it will get you a few more signatures. Hope it helps because I think my name is now offically tarnished at the No Homers Club (more so than before I mean).

Zeep, you are a hero. And yes, I second that. The success of this movement needs edorsement from a big Futurama sites, CGEF espescially.

While the webmasters are harassed I'll link it around to my friends.

I'm sorry, but I don't see the point in that. You at least need to have something new to tell them. The CN ratings and DVD sales were apparent in the March 2003 already (Europe had two successful releases and the US followed just 2 weeks after we handed in the petition).

TV Execs don't make decisions on grounds of mercy or pitifulness. You need to give them NEW input to re-evaluate the situation. And I don't see what that could be.

The idea of the last petition was to show them that there might be more support for the show than the pure ratings might have suggested. That obviously wasn't enough to make them turn around.

In addition, you'll end up with less than 25% of the original drive since you lack the oomph factor we produced back then when the wounds were fresh. Handing in something with less than 150% now would produce the opposite of what you want.

I'm sorry you feel this way. The way I see it, the constant rerun ratings and high sales for all of the DVDs is more or less new info. I think that if we show them that there are still enough people that care about it, as well as ratings and DVD sales, that might be enough to influence them.

We would really like your support, but if you won't give it, we'll have to take it by force! No, I'm just kidding. But I still think that if we had the help of big sites like CGEF, PEEL, and TFP, we could get almost as many people as the original.

@mArc, Zeep has one point - when the original petition was started, the only DVDs available were the European Season 1 discs, while there was no syndication deal with CN.  The Neilsen ratings were practically the only indicator of how Futurama was doing in America, which is the main audience FOX has to sell shows to.

Oh, and please, sign it with your full names. Nicknames and things like that will have to be pruned from the list. Also, rude commens will have to be pruned as well.

yeah, nick names are unprofessional, we gotta make it look the best we can. I just e-mailed Teral at The Leela Zone, and Dave at The Neutral Planet. I asked them to make a link on the site. If any of you know anymore popular Futurama sites, then try and e-mail them the link.

Also, i think you, or choose a totally die hard fan to write a personal letter which you tell your feelings, but in a sophisticated way, you should also let everyone see it so they can add things to it

And while we are at it, instead of just sending it out to Futurama sites, lets send it to the offtopic boards of every single forum in existence! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

My work has begun...

I also think I am number 59. If I stole your number, smack me for being lazy.
