In April 1999 The Sunday Times had an article in it's magazine about the rise of adult animations in America. Guess who was on the magazine cover? God, I wish I'd kept that cover. Along with the Radio Times guide to Star Trek: TNG it's the dumbest thing I ever threw out.

You had Futurama, Family Guy, The PJs (if that counts), Dilbert, Home Movies, Clerks, and God, the Devil, and Bob. Of those, Futurama actually lasted the longest. I wonder why there were so many, actually more than the post-Simpsons animation push.
