I swear i remember this scene from the original airing on FOX, but i'm having trouble finding it in any of my episodes.  Anyway, this is the scene:

Fry and Leela are on a plane, Leela says something to the effect of, "I'm glad they rethought those old designs."  Then the camera moves out to show them taking off in a huge Wright-Brothers type plane.

Am i making this up?  Did i remember from another show and transfer it to Futurama?  Am i nuts?  Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

That's actually from an episode of The Simpsons that took place in the future and had similarities to Futurama.  It was called "Lisa's Wedding."

That was the episode of the Simpsons where Lisa got her fortune told, and saw her future.  "Lisa Gets Married," or somesuch.  Classic episode.

"We saved your asses in World War 2."
"Well we saved YOUR asses in World War 3."
