I think what this person that started this thread meant that it's Seth McFarland who has the new cartoon.  American Dad doesn't really sound so bad.  At least it's a different premise from what I've heard.  Who knows?  Maybe Family Guy's new episodes will all be a flop!  Nobody's going to love dysfunctional family sit-coms forever!  Maybe even by then Malcolm in the Middle won't be popular anyone!  Frankie Muniz must be so embarrased, he's like 18 now, and he's still playing the role of a junior high school student!  Dysfunctional family sit-coms and that includes Family Guy aren't going to last forever!

Well I and many others think The Simpsons is still good, but that aside Fox doesn't give a shit about quality, considering they've hated the show since day one anyway.  The "strike" (and it wasn't a strike.....it was a routine contract renogiation, and like all contract negotiations was described as a "strike" in the news because that's a juicier story) had nothing to do with Groening anyway, and progressed exactly as it does every three years.
