i don't think i can manage to watch them all
or well, it depends on with who actually
i did a blackadder marathon with some guy
some time ago but we got bored after a while and started doing other things
i think that'd be the same with futurama, unless i watch it with more people, or someone with who i wouldn't wanna have sex

I've had my own marathon (me and my brother) for each individual series, and for Series2&3 combined, but never 1,2,3 and 4.

Although, I've had a marathon of the first three seasons of The Simpsons on my friend's computer... that needed a lot of Red Bull to get me through.

I'd never be able to watch them all as a marathon.  The best I've ever done is go through a six-episode disc in one morning.

The closest i got was a season-1 marathon all afternoon, to celebrate my half-birthday*.
not really, but that was my excuse whenever anyone asked why i would do that. it was my half-birthday, though.

My marathon went well, but I dozed off on disc 3, series 3. It was only for an hour though, My brother dozed off later, on disc 4. We then stayed awake by sheer will. It was very difficult, I really appreciate the gaps in the episodes when you select play all, that's when there is a rush to the toilet.
It was great when it got to the end of TDHAIPT.
I think I need to be better prepared next time

If I did, I'd easily reach 100 cups, so then I'd be able to take my time over things.  :)

Pretty sure it counts.I taped most of season 3 and part of 4 between the end of November till now. Of course, judgeing by how I think tapes only go up to 6 hours or a little over , theres the time of changing the tapes.ButYou could still do it with seasons 1 and 2 on DVDs.

I've done a really slack one that took 7 days, but there's other marathons i'd rather do, so nuts to you.  :p

And to all you pansies saying to drink *sigh* coffee, that doesn't work, it's too piss weak  :)
Grab 5 or 6 energy drinks instead... Lift plus, V, Red Bull, Red eye it's all good and works a treat, it's like drinking tangy sugar.  :D

Of course it counts!  :laff: Wouldn't that be cruel though, if you managed the entire VHS-marathon, and we'd all go "Ooh, but you did it on VHS... Such poor quality doesn't count, you have to do it all over again..."   :evillaugh:

Congratulations! How long did it take? 25 hours? Any strange dreams yet? I remember having really weird futurama-dreams afterwards... the Futuramathon is the closest thing to a brainwash I've ever had... I think...

Well... I'd call that a real futurama marathon for sure! That means it doesn't count as "something more enjoyable than a futurama marathon"  ;)

Yes my dreams have been a bit Futurama orientated recently! I took me from Saturday morning to Sunday Afternoon to get through all the DVD's. I've never eaten such junk in my life.... beans on toast seem like haute quisine afterwards!!

Well I'm glad to hear that since I was able to do this about a week ago.  It took a hours but I was able to do it.  I had four tapes, so that is about 20 episodes per 8 hour tape.  I could just go right into an episode and not change tape so often.

I was able to get Futurama seasons 2 and 3 on DVD this tuesday, I'll I need is season four and I can do the marathon on DVD.

Coffee doesn't keep me awake either, I could drink 100 cups and still fall asleep.... :D

If you can't drink coffee, drink coka~cola it has the same effect.
I'll have a go! Once the summer holidays roll round. Problem is I'll probably have to do it on my own.  :(  I only have one friend who likes Futurama but I don't think she could go for a full run throught of all the eps.

I am too old for this, my bladder would betray me. The last time I stayed up for something like this was about 15 years ago at Prince Con, which was an RPG event. I stayed up something like 80 hours... you actually get a third wind come Sunday morning. The deep doldrums late Saturday night are mega hell though, I am sure I was hallucinating. I tried it again the next year but I got sick sometime mid-afternoon on Saturday. Being sick and sleep-deprived is not a situation I reccomend. My pals had to carry me out to the car.

Anyway, about the bladder problem...anybody know where I can get one of Homer J's infamous toilet chairs? That would be a godsend for something like this.

edit: Actually I would not even try this until I get season 4...curse my region 1 address!

I live in the US, so I only have seasons 1-3 on DVD!   :(  Besides, I wouldn't be able to do that anyway because I have driver's ed AND am getting a job to pay for my car!  (I'm only 16)  However, I am capable of pulling an all-nighter, so yes, I can do it.  Will?  We'll see...

And about those toilet chairs, I think we might have one of those small portable ones... somewhere...  That's the next best thing!

Last time I pulled an all-nighter was on the 7th, during a 24-hour relay our track team did.  I suggest you get a LOT of free time on your hands to compensate for all the sleep you lose as well.

Me and a friend did it with no intention to watch all four seasons but we started on a Friday night and didn't feel like stopping. It was holidays we even started making rules that if you needed to pee go very quickly in the end credits. Any food and drink had to be made in the credits or a change of DVD.

Got another challenge for you all. About 4 months ago we wanted to know if it was possible to drink 100 cans of coke in a week in tribute to Fry. None of us completed the challenge, we did however nearly have heart attacks and didn't sleep for a fort night. We are determined though and are giving it a second shot soon.

I bought Season One and unwittingly fell into a mini-Futuramathon - I didn't think I would watch them all that day, but damned if I could stop once I got going! I then bought Seasons Two and Three a few days later, and watched a disc a day after work for eight days. And then came the commentary, which was so much more fun to listen to than I expected. I'm not quite through all the commentary tracks yet - I believe I have three or four to go.

Bring on Season Four and vacation time - none of us can afford to go anywhere, so my loony friends and I are in for one hell of a marathon.

Pfft. Being twelve isn't that bad! Eerily high matabolism + Insomnia = Plenty of time for Futurama without becoming terribly unhealthy! Whoo!  ;)

Anyway, I did endure the marathon last weekend. Of course, the last Season was all on VHS.  :D

Never before have I consumed so many potato chips, devoured so much cold Rally's chicken, and... wait. That's all I ate.  :hmpf: Good, though!  :D

I gotta do it again sometime... Perhaps with actual people...

ive done the first 3 seasons (i live in region 1) in one day, by myself without stopping for anything. i had a pile of food on my left and a pee bucket on my right.

anyway when the season 4 comes out soon i have 2 freinds who are going to watch them all with me.  i know we can all stay up but i think it might be akward pissing in to a bucket with you two best friends right next to you. also were all 16 and have school, driving school, and work to go to so its gonna be herd to find time.

Watch... all episodes back to back? Hmm.

Nevers!

The words "Futurama" and "endure" should never be in the same sentence. But when I get all four seasons, I'm planning on couple of "One episode per night" marathons. One in production order, then another completely random order one. The episodes I pick will be determined by a Bingo cage, with O73, O74, and O75 removed. Seriously.

Well to be pedantic, "futurama" and "endure" didn't actually appear in the same sentence but yeah, you are right.

Mine took around 26 1/2 hours. 1591 minutes to be exact.  :D (I timed the whole thing in case of such a question.  :))
