Pop a poppler in your mouth
when you come to Fishy Joe's
what they're made off is a mystery
where they come from noone knows
You can pick 'em, you can lick 'em
Yoh can chew 'em, you can stick 'em
if you promise not to sue us
you can shove one up your nose.

Popplers is one of the best Futurama episodes at all, "The Birdbot of Ice-Catraz" a close second though.

I can't quite choose between The Problem with Popplers and A Big Piece of Garbage, they're both great episodes.

The Problem with Popplers is my favorite.

Bender: "I'll miss you, Leela. I know you're just a carbon based life-form, but I'll always think of you as a big pile of titanium."
Fry: "What Bender means is you're really brave and smart and beautiful. And a great friend."
Bender: "Just like titanium!" *screams*
Leela: "This is all a big load. I was the one trying to save the Popplers. You were sucking them down like the fat hog you are and you were stepping on them for fun! You both should be in here instead of me!"
Bender: "Someone is acting awful aluminum."

Brannigan: "Leela! My sweet. I've come to save you! I have a devious plan."
Leela: "Oh, great... Captain Moron has a plan. Why don't you tell it to Wingus and Dingus here?"
Brannigan: *turns to Bender & Fry* "Wingus, Dingus, listen up. We're going to give the aliens the ol' switcheroo."
Fry: "You mean..."
Brannigan: "Correct! I've found a giant hideous ape that looks exactly like Leela."

Brannigan: "Why'd you open your bonghole, you smelly hippie? You'd sacrifice a beautiful woman to save a moderately attractive monkey? You must have smoked some bad granola."
Lrrr: "The one called Smelly Hippie is right. This is a monkey."
Ndnd: *eats monkey* "Yes, definitely."
Lrrr: "Where's the real female?"
Brannigan: "I'll never tell."
Lrrr: *cocks gun* "Where is the real female?"
Brannigan: "I'll get her for you."

these lines I laughed

Birdbot of Ice-Catraz. Free Waterfall Sr. is hilarious. "If you get cold, just stick your hands in your buttocks. It's natures pocket!" Zoidbergs lines about the captian were hilarious.

Problem with Popplers comes in a close second.

Same here. And then Bender walks by... That ep was great. TPWP was pretty close, though. I had to flip a coin to choose between the two. I mean, "Yes, I can! Because I'm not a smelly hippie!" was great... that whole ep was great. Some of the best Futurama episodes if you ax me.

Wow I hate that line, I've been trying to rember the line from popplers that I thought sucked.

My vote goes to birdbot, It was so much better than I thought It would be.

"The Problem With Popplers" is the best by a country mile.  "Birdbot" and ABPOG both have their moments, but the plots aren't too interesting.  And "Crimes of the Hot" is a crappy episode that was over-hyped due to Al Gore's cameo.

Kinda taking what theZoid88 said out of context aren't you Teral? He said "hippies and pro environmental people", which I believe refers to the negative stereotypes that are thrust upon such types through the media. Much like not being able to stand feminists. But that's for another thread...

Out of context? There is no context, just a statement. All he said was he "can't stand hippies and pro-enviromental people"? Not "I can't stand hippies and over-zealous pro-environmentalists". I cut away hippies because I don't particular favor hippies either so that I could understand, but since I'm pro-environment and think it's possible to find a balance between preserving the nature and economic growth I was just curious. But I'll drop it, as you said that's for another thread.

The Problem with Popplers is the best of those as an actual satire, but A Big Piece of Garbage is my personal favorite nonetheless.  Simply hysterical episode from beginning to end, its always been a favorite of mine.  Definetely the best 1ACV episode.

I don't know what people have against "Crimes of the Hot".  I think its a good episode, even if maybe not as good as the others here.

The Problem with Popplers by far.
Leela: Popplers are intelligent! This one called me mama!
Zoidberg: Congratulations, I assume Amy is the father?

Kif: Sir, (whispers in Zapps ear) there aren't that many humans.
Zapp: A thought occurs. There aren't that many humans.
Lrr: We're willing to wait a few weeks while you shore up the numbers.
Zapp: Hmmm. A hundred and ninety eight billion babies in a few weeks. We'll need an army of super-virile men scoring round the clock! I'll do my part. Kif, clear my schedule!

Popplers and COTH are about even for me, so I'll vote for... Crimes of the Hot! Mostly because it's falling behind (as in tied for last), but hey, the professor was hilarious in it, no? Of course he was.  And Morbo? Who can forget Morbo? Not me! Alright, I'll stop talking like this. Or will I? Yes, I will.

Shouldn't Obsoletely Fabulous also be on that list?  I guess it doesn't matter since I would still pick Popplers, but regardless of the CGEF rating (80%), it was one of my favorites of the final episodes.  Leela's "Good lord - he's made of wood" mades me chuckle just thinking about it.

BUT - Popplers was about as close to perfect a  Futurama episode, pro-enviroment or otherwise, as you could ask for.  Non-stop jokes and every one of them hits.  Plus - Lrrr.  Give me a poll about anything on this site and more often than not I will vote for the episode Lrrr was in.

The best of these episodes is "The Problem with Popplers" but:

How is "The Problem with popplers" an environmental episode ?

I just can't see how eating 3 billion babies, putting make-up on a monkey and not eating humans can be considered environmental.

Therefore I will not vote for "The Problem with Popplers" but on "A Big Piece of Garbage".

It depends. Do you mean "Which of these pro-environmental episodes is the best episode?" (Popplers) or "Which is the most pro-environmental of these episodes?" (Garbage)
