I have been to soo many websites, and MANY of them do NOT know how to spell 'leela' and so far its been:

1. lilah
2. lela
3. lehla
4. Lila
5. lelaa
6. lealah
7. Layla (posted by 'Mouse on Venus')

and they mostly use number 2. It bugs the heck outta me. lol. Why do they do this? I could understand number 2, because you might miss one 'e' but really, the rest of them? Its sad. tsk tsk tsk

I think there should be another futurama website. And on the website, I think there should be a page were all you see on it is the word 'leela' written like 100,000,000 times. And at the bottom of the page, it should say in HUGE letters:

SPELL IT RIGHT!!!!!!!

Its elaborate, but people just need to know how to spell her friggin name!!!

How about this site. Although it's in German, they too fight to correct the spelling of Leela's name where ever they see a mistake.

Oh, and I can almost see the mix up at Jump the shark, it's possible to assume that Leela and Fry had sex (possibily during Time Keeps on Slipping to name an instance)....

Yeah, but I think that most of them were talking about "Anthology of Interest I".

The people who post on jumptheshark.com are stupid.  There are a bunch of posts that say things like, "This show jumped from the very first episode."  What, are they unclear on the concept?  If a show was never good to begin with, then it can't jump the shark.

Leela is only written 15,400 times, but I think it still gets the point across.

I bought a games review magazine once just because it had a review for futurama the game and they spelt leela "leelah" in EVERY SINGLE BLOODY MENTION OF HER! I was so tempted to just write in to them and bag the crap out of them. Ahh, thats a load off my chest.

Let me get this straight: you bumped a thread you think is stupid, just to complain about how stupid it is (and thus prolonged it's life)?

On topic: yeah, it's annoying when someone misspell Leela's name, not as annoying as Phrey (which I've seen on some website a long time a go) though.

It's not just Leela, all of the characters (besides Amy and most of the time Bender) names are spelled wrong once in awhile.

I've heard someone pronounce it wrong as "Laylah" and I agree, it's incredibly infuriating. (Not to mention that it shows their ignorance)
