Hello everyone, this is my inaugural post.   :)

I just purchased Season two and ordered season one. I just learned Family Guy is semi-officially renewed due to more than a million DVD sales, production is beginning and will air (not yet determined), this is great news for our FG brethren, but that doesn't help us.

Ok, enough with the preamble, does anyone know how many Futurama DVD sets have been sold?

PS - does anyone know where I can get really early Futurama conceptual sketches?

You would think that sales would be good with 4 sets and all.  Maybe they are only counting sales of the region 1 DVDs...2 of which have yet to be released.

Region 1? Is that the U.S.? Haven't they released the 3. and 4. seasons there?

No, the US are on S2 and will have S3 soon.

The DVDs were ranked #1 on Amazon for quite a period, that's got to mean something, right?

I have no clue, and I'm not sure anyone does. As a guess, I'd say somewhere around September-November, but I'm obviously not sure.

Nope. Check the P.E. Stockroom topic every so often to check on that.

As far as buying DVD's to bring Futurama back... I'd guess no. Something tells me they took FG off the air because it was too offensive, but they actually didn't like Futurama.

They probably would only count region 1 sales when considering restarting the show.  So when the new sets come out, everyone has to buy them, even if you don't live in region 1 countries.

I'd suspect season 4 to be available around August 25, as season 2 was.

Also, Im thinking 400-450k dvd sets have been sold. My proof? None.

Futurama DVDs need better marketing and exposure!  :(

Maybe, but's it's the proof that Futurama isn't popular as everyone had expected.

Season 1, 2 and 3 have been released here in Australia. However, I know that Season 4 will be released in February here. Maybe you can decipher from that...
