I heard that we in the US might not get this until 2004.

Damn... I really, REALLY hate FOX.  :finger:

The BBFC is the British Board of Film Classification, so it is in Europe. We usually get extra details through them 2-4 months before the release of the DVD, so it shouldn't be long now.

Expect it in late January 2002 in the UK. (As a DVD journalist, that means I should get my test discs by mid-December... heh heh heh)

That's too long. Hey payndz, you couldn't find your way to getting an extra set of Futurama review discs for a fellow UK fan, could you?  ;)

Anyone have any idea if and when they're likely to release them in Region 4 (australia)?

Matt reckons the US versions should be out at about the same time as the UK ones so don't cry ;)

I think the USA won't see DVD's before a long syndication phase. Face it, other countries have the VHS videos for long, USA doesn't.
I consider it a good thing though. DVD/Video before syndication usually indicates that the Station doesn't think the show will make it till syndication or that it won't be profitable to let it run syndicated.

Damn... This sucks...  But we can play these dvds on the PC and some DVD players.  Also, we can play the VCDs that are for sale now on ALL dvd players and even CDROM drives with no DVD player.

All these cut scenes sound cool.

there are some strippers in the scene.  i remember one who was robot pole-dancing.  fry DOES get a lap dance from the large fembot in the final version of the episode.  maybe it wasn't a deleted scene you described.

hmm, I think you're getting confused with the scene in The Lesser of Two Evils when Bender, Flexo and Fry go to the strip club and Fry gets crushed by a large stripper

You're right.  The scene I saw was a rough draft.  No colors or s***. I must have confused it.

Thanks for bringing this topic back from the dead (and I do mean that  :D  You reminded me to reply to it)

You're all right about the part.  It wasnt deleted.  But there was a small part that was.  Bender made some gay joke at fry that was edited out thanks to fox.  Dun dun dun!
