Before you all saw this episode, did any of you assume that there was going to be a parody of that 'Annie' song "Hard Knock Life"?  I sure thought so.

I thought either the orphans Bender adopted were going to sing it, or it would show a flashback to when Leela was there as a kid, and she and the orphans would sing.

Theres actually a film called 'The Cider House Rules' I think its a parody on that. I've never seen the film myself, only heard of it

I'd never heard of "The Cider House Rules", and the TV mag only mentioned Leela getting a second eye, so I didn't even know that the Ophanarium would enter into it.

im glad there was no reference to annie, although it would have been funny if one of the orphans kept trying to sing it and bender foiled there plans.
