Here's another one.

In the episode "Bender should not be on TV", the co-host of the Calculon's party describes the party happenings to the TV audience.  She says "huge piles of what I assume is talcum powder..."

In the episode where Lrrr is threatening to harvest Fry's "Lower Horn", he eats the "smelly Hippy".  Part way through his speech, he comments "Woah, that hippy is starting to kick in".  Then later, he is zonked out of his mind, like he's a total stoner; he says "Dude, my hands, they can touch anything except themselves...Woah, they can do that too..."

Yeah, seattlejohn01, "funny hippy" was the great one. But it was definitely another episode - The Problem With Popplers.

Damn it!  You're absolutely right; I combined the 2 episodes.  Yep; it was "the problem with popplers".  Just goes to show, the Cartoon Network needs to show these episodes more often (so knuckleheads like me won't make similar mistakes).

"Smelly Hippy" is my favorite drug reference.  I can still hear him say "OK people, everyone join hands, so I can lead you in some swaying.  I said DO IT..."

What about in the very last episode "The devils hands are idle play things" at the start what seems to be holo-phoner music coming from under hid bedroom door could actually be marajuana smoke and he was covering it up by saying it was the holo-phoner

Thanks, Sammy.  I haven't seen that one in a while, and my memory isn't what it used to be.

Just saw the 30% Iron Cook episode.  You're dead on; it's "Sunshine of your Love" alright.  Good call; I love that song...

This episode contains one of the best drug references.  Professor Farnsworth researches Helmut Sparkles "Essence of True Flavor", and says "it's just water.  Good old fashioned water...laced with 2-3 ounces of LSD..."

And what about 4 DVDs - any drug refs found there? I've just re-watched BWABB, remember - when Leela smelloscopes the anomaly she says it smells like angel dust, which is a street name for phencyclidine or PCP, right? And if so, how does she know what it smells like? Orphanarium childhood?

Orphanarium childhood? You ask me, I'd say more like Opium childhood.

Apologies in advance for a bad joke.

Fry's timecard. So that his zombie won't come looking for that final paycheck.

Apparantly some sort of tradition. Among Jamaican accountants.

But that has nothing to do with the topic at hand, I just wanted to revel in my command of detail. :p

Yeah it has to be one of the most overt references also. Jokes like this one are why Futurama needs to be on Comedy Central so that the writers have more freedom to write what they want to write.

Not really an actual "Drug" reference, and it was a bit obvious. The entire intro past the Planet Express hits the TV, and goes into it.

Has anyone posted on "Omicron Persei 8" (O-P-I-ate)? Or Leela (Sanskrit word meaning "play" and is short for the drug Leelamine)? Or Fry's middle initial "J," as in "cop a j" (joint)?
