Oh my I hope you are right because if there is any show I love more than "Futurama" it is "Something Stupid". This was the comedy series containing Magda Szubanski, Marg Downey, Jane Turner and Gina Riley that preceeded "Kath & Kim" but came after "Big Girls Blouse". This show is the best comedy Australia has ever produced. And it also contains the serial "Kim's Baby" which is the follow up to "Kim's Wedding" for all the people who love "Kath & Kim" they can see where it all began for long term fans like me.
"Look at Moii, Look at Moii"

probably cant happen, since channel 7 bought the rights to begin with, they probably have first "dibs" on the rights, therefore they would have to give it to channel 10...
not going to happen

Thats so true Carbito. I never thought of it that way. I remeber when Raymond was on seven to begin with and I didn't know anyone that watched but i used to sit there every night...now that its on ten it has huge promotion and is on like 20 times a week and everyone watches it. I don't think even if C7 gave Futurama to Ten would they take it. I mean, it's not a viable program...to pick it up after it has been cancelled. Now, I know they show Seinfeld every summer ad nauseum but Futurama never had a real following in Australia.

The one your thinking of is John Safran's Music jamboree on SBS.

On the plus side, they are playing it "during" the ratings period now, sure its not prime time, but its on!
As I was saying about the Futurama rights, I was referring to a similar thing that happened with south park. SBS held the rights to it from day 1, but when it became popular the second time SBS aired it's first season, channel 10 tried to pick it up.
Because of its past dealing with SBS- Comedy Central gave preference to it, over channel 10. It cost SBS big time (x million $) but they were able to retain it due to the preference.
I am saying the same thing happens here, fox gives 7 is the preference because they held it previously, it would probably cost channel 10 a lot more than it is worth (especially now that it hasnt been renewed) to gain the rights to it?
Q & A ne1?
