heheh while the rest of us not so lucky are still waiting the long months, y'all should go out and vote for futurama dvd 1 in the australian dvd awards - for every category  (theres one for best australian film on dvd but who cares put it down for that one too).  You also got a chance of winning one of them dvd recorders...the site is www.r4.com.au  but you gotta hurry only 3 days left

btw the dvd got its way into a review in the sydney morning herald the guide magazine...1 month late but good to see it finally getting some notice down here..their verdict was: 'not the simpsons, but it is good fun.'

aristos666, does it say region 2 and 4 on the back of the season 2 dvd cases? because on amazon.com they state that its region 2 only but if not im gunna order it right away!

It just says R2 on the cases and discs, but the first copyright notice when you start them up is for Australia.

So far they've work with my multiregion player, my parent's R4 player and my brother's XBox, so I can safely say they work here.

Yes, for the record, the discs are region 4. Although it doesn't say it on the Box, PowerDVD on my PC says the discs are Region 4 and 2. I suspect the reason for this is because FOX are cheap - because both Australia and Europe use PAL, then they can create one version of the disc and only have to change the packaging a little when they sell it in Australia.

I ordered it last week and it is around $88. including postage, we dont pay the VAT tax that UK residents have to, so therefore it's like the postage is free!! Charges in Pound Sterling- Futurama Season 2 Box Set Subtotal= 27.23, Delivery= 3.58 Total= 30.81 thats at .3674 British Pence for every $1.00 Australian as of 9.22am 21-01-03.
