someone mentioned it has  a childish undertone and
there is something slightly childish about it. even if it is a parody, its still using dumb stuff to make a plot. like fry and the slurm factory, leela being slowly lowerd towards the slurm stuff, and bender held to a conveyor belt moving slowly towards something harmful,
you can call it a parody, but its still something you'd see in childrens cartoons about action heros

I really can't see how some people think the simpsons is better. it simply is not as funny. All of the episodes in the simpsons, the new ones atleast play of the fact that they can't do any new storylines. it's pathetic. Sure i will still laugh when homer falls over and screams in pain on the floor, but it doesnt match bender dressed as a pimp. It never has and it never will. maybe it's because i'm just a geek that i love futurama more than the simpsons, but to me the simpsons is a shell of a programe now. its dry.

Second that, brudda.

It was TOO GOOD for 'Reality Channel Network' Fox, but at least Cable recognizes the series greatness!

well simpsons seasons 3-10,have much more jokes put in than futurama, thats why i think most simpsons from that era, for comedy value are much funnier and have faster pace. it may have declined in quality from 11.

If you pack 7 seasons worth of programming with that many jokes then you're gonna start running out sooner or later.  :hmpf:
