I think Zapp tricked Leela!

In the episode, "Love Labors Lost in Space".  I think Zapp and Leela slept together.  And Zapp tricked Leela into thinking they did something.  I don't think they actually did anything, just slept together, that's all. 

Just my theory.

This explains how Zapp tricked her into his bed

considering it has been several years since Leela slept with him, i think it would be a safe bet to assume she never got pregnant.

well in the year 3000 i imagine they have some sort of infrared abortion laser. Or a telekinetic gynocologist that can prevent fetuses...
or at least an artificial mole that doubles as a foolproof contraceptive

But that still falls foul of KurtPikachus' theory - Leela may believe that she had intimate relations  with Zapp, but it doesn't necessarily mean it happened.

It's the same problem that haunts lie detectors; if the person believes what they are saying, even if it isn't the truth, then it can't be detected.

Thus, in "Brannigan Begin Again", Leela would be under the impression she slept with Zapp but she might not necessarily remember it.

Although it is probable that it happened (due to her being in bed naked and whatnot), there is no absolute proof that it happened - she may have been tricked into almost sleeping with him, but then her mind reasserts itself and she ignores him. After all, I believe there was "champ-agin" involved.

 It's funny how the subject of birth control is rarely discussed in the future despite all the futuristic possiblities. Besides the episode KGKUAN, whenever two characters have sex in Futurama, no-one ever thinks of contraception, pregnancy or STDs.

Maybe if Futurama still existed they would have made a episode about it......That would really suck.....however, if it was in an TALES OF INTEREST!!!..........that would be kewl, I wonder what sort of hideous creator it would be.

Tales of Interest is really good for that kind of stories.

I'll give you a clue: the first word in KGKUAN is 'Kif'. (but you got it anyways so scratch that  )

 BTW, the "champ-agin" seems like the most likely explanation. I find it hard to believe that Leela would allow herself to be seduced merely because she felt "pity" for him.

That raises a few more questions though..
In "I Second That Emotion", the mutants needed a "virgin" to be a sacrifice.
Then the mutant with the gills says something about Zap's website with Leela in it..

So i guess that Leela DID in fact gotten "horizontal" with Zap.
And there were webcams all around the freaking place.(He probably installed some afodizac(sp?) mist spray around the Lovenasium)

But was Leela a virgin before Zap (ewwww..she lost it to Zaaapp..) or did the mutant implied she cannot possibly be a virgin at that point of time?

I agree with Lionel Hutz Esq, Leela does seem to have poor taste in men.  She asked her boss out, and he sure didn't seem like a very nice individual, it sure sounds like Sean played her, and Zapp and Alkazar were both horse's asses.  Which for me, again, begs the question, why is it so difficult, it seems to me, for her to be accepting of Fry and his feelings for her?

I know, off topic, but darn it, I just don't get it sometimes. <sigh>

cause she has seen the types of relationships Fry has had with other women, and they have all been short and all about sex. So she sees him as a risk. All the other guys she was with she didn't know that they were jerks till later and as soon as she figured it out she dumped them.

I wouldn't say Leela has bad taste in men as such. When she first met them they all seemed freidnly, nice and charming.

Zapp: the hero of DOOP, 25-star general, etc. I guess he's goodlooking (how would I know), etc. His reputation make him sound like a true defender of what's right.

Adlai: Her childhood love, tall, handsome, succesfull doctor, defends her agaisnt the other orphans, fulfill her lifelong dream of being normal

Alkazar: charming, athletic, sensitive, and above all the last surviving male of her speices (or so Leela think)

Sean: Leela don't really see that he has been playing her all along, until Fry say so in WMIBACIL. And he apparently have a "beautiful, creative soul" she fell for.

Chaz: loyal, dedicated, ambitious, snappy dresser, all thinks Leela admire.

And as Venus said, she dumped them all as soon as their real nature showed.

Plus the guy in LLLiS was a genuine nice guy.

Buttom line, Zapp didn't trick Leela. They really did it. As Brannigan say in "Brannigan Begin Again": "Leela, you may be a formidable doer of the nasty, but..."

you guys are hilarious.

1- Leela wasn't a virgin. Or she was and Futurama has the worst writers ever.
2- She doesn't have to worry that much about getting STDs from Zapp, unless the still have blood transfusions in the future and I doubt it since they are trying to phase that out even now. Zapp was a virgin.
3- Leela obviously has some self esteem issues (makes sense given that she grew up as an orphan and is a hideous mutant freak). Earlier in the episode she's upset that she'll never find a man, so she's more vunerable to Zapp's patheticness.

well, if she is sterile, then that supports my theory that she never got pregnant. And i seriously doubt she has a gestation period of over 4 years. And if she did, i'm sure a pregnancy would be detected during her yearly physicals. Same deal with the 'Cryo-womb' someone would eventually figure it out.
