DISGRACEFUL! Channel 4 started up showing Futurama again tonight. Episodes shown were: I second that emotion and Brannigan Begin Again.

Problem was, it was cut to ribbons!! Bender never swore, Brannigan never asked Leela if he could service her sexually, and a million other things were cut.

I'm just glad i have the Fox versions on mpeg. Channel 4 will be getting a letter of complaint from me.

And before anyone says, it was shown at 6pm so it's before the 9pm watershed, why couldn't Channel 4 move the show to a later time slot? After all, theres nothing on tv on a Tuesday night here.

I agree totally.
Maybe I just forgot how badly C4 cut the eps but it was painful to see how they destroyed the jokes most of the time nothing made any sense, like when they cut out Bender saying "I got a busted ass but I don't see anyone kissing it" but left zoidberg saying I'm comming, which makes no sense.
They even cut of the words faeces and virgin.
I'm lucky that I saw the uncut episodes but the people who haven't seen Futurama before are going to think its crap based on what C4 showed.

My point exactly. Thankyou Slurm. I think it's really bad of Channel 4 to do this. The show (in my opinion) is primarily geared towards adults. Now, if Channel 4 had sense they would see this and put Futurama on at a later time, but they seem to want to win over the kids with this 6pm slot.

That is pretty damn funny. If anything, stoners should enjoy the show for the completely nonsensical jokes.

But still, it's too bad that people won't be able to accurately judge the show's quality. I'll leave Channel 4 a message the next time I am really bored.

I've registered my disgust.  I was well shocked when they cut the bit bout benders ass on 'I second that emotion'.  That was the only episode that i have seen before, so i dont know about the other episodes that had been cut and where.

C4 better do something or....

...i havn't thought what i'm gonna do yet-give me time!

Channel 4 has made me pissed off! they cut out one of Bender's sceene "Hey I got a busted ass I don't see anybody kissing it" they also cut Bender's first "Ass" word.

I know they going to "This will teach those bastards who's loveable" because it was on 6pm.

if C4 is always going to cut Bender's cool bits then it won't make it funny. why don't C4 put futurama on a later time? they put South Park on 10pm (I think) on Fridays and they never cut scenes from the show.

C4 is being cruel to Futurama.

Ugh. I've just watched it. They really have cut it to shreds. Sky cuts the "bastard"  bits out, and I though THAT was bad! But not being allowed to say "ass" or "virgin"?

You could always downlo... uh... acquire a US version.

Well i've written a letter of complaint to C4, say they will get back to me within 24hrs, but thatd 2 days ago, so I guess they really value their audience comments!

same here ...
i once "got" an us-american (none cartoon) show ... I've never seen so many blurs and beeps in my hole live as a german tv junky (the good ol' days). Those 25 minutes beat all those years.
Does C4 seriously think that kids up at 6am don't know words like ass?
Besides, if at all, shouldnt it be the parents duty to decide whats ok and what is not for their breed?

I feel that they will bow to our demands. The only good progam they showed, Apathy Party, was Earthworm Jim- god that was funny, oh the other program that was good was Sam and Max  or were both of them C5 programs. The people who have signed apart from me are a girl named Emily, Katie, Holly (even though she HATES Futurama), Louise, Joanna, Myles, Jordan... and it goes on. I'll give it to you as soon as my scanner works. Oh and Petridge Farms, My name is number 20. God i hate my name ggrrrr.

Hmm, let's see... it's been repeatedly pre-empted by sporting events... they cut six episodes from the schedule this year, including the much anticipated Christmas, excuse me, X-Mas special and the season finale (te latter so they could show a Simpsons rerun), and they've delayed the 4th season opener until December! Let's face it... Futuramaniacs worldwide have been screwed more times than Amy at homecoming.
