Has anyone ever thought of making a fan episode?

First off i'd like to say Hi to everyone cause im a new user. So uh Hi.

Now on to the topic. I love futurama. I only really discovered futurama a few months ago. I did see the pilot when it aired in australia but i dont have Foxtel so it kinda slipped my mind. Anyway someone had some episodes on their comp so i had a look and loved it. I have a few episodes on my comp and have the 1st dvd.

Anyway you all know fox did a bad thing by canceling it so i was wondering if mabye a fan episode could be made. I mean i lurked on these forums yesterday and there is definatly talent out there and some good voice acting too. So if we pool our resorces mabye we could make a episode. What does everyone think. I can do 3d work and a bit of flash as well.

So what does everyone think? Have i got a point or should i run screaming "woop woop woop woop woop"

I was thinking about it... Kind of, maybe when i've finished school... There has been one or two short ones made in the FanArt and fiction Section that ive seen, can't remember where they were but im sure someone will, The ones ive seen are definatly worth a look anyway...

Melbourne here. Nice to see a few aussies around.

I have to do my last 12 weeks of TAFE and then i would go flat nacker on making an episode. Mabye the crew go to fox to complain or something.

Also it would probably have to be done is flash but we will see. Hope to see more replies soon.

Ahh, i'm about 2 1/2 hours from Melbourne and Alexvilagosh lives in Melbourne.
Recent discussion in the aussie thread revealed where we all lived, for those who didn't know already.

Back on topic, i've got a pretty good knowledge of Adobe Premiere if you need an editor, but i can't see this getting off the ground, not from scratch, not from fanboys. But it's always worth a shot though.
All i can say is Good Luck, call on me if needed.

I'm from Australia too (in Perth). Anyway, I believe that this idea has been brought up quite a few times on this board, but nobody has made anything more than a short clip as of yet.

Still, if anyone's willing to make one, I'll be willing to watch it.

Unfortunatly premier probably wouldnt be an option. We would need to keep the project small so vital parts could be send to all the people involved. So im thinking flash. Also the 3D could be put into flash as a vector.

I realise this is a long shot but i though what the hell. Im sick as a dog at home and miss futurama. So i aint got much to loose (unless that blood test comes back bad  )

I've thought about just doing a reading.  It would be low budget and fun.  My friend Michelle wanted me to do a reading of the Chronicles of Narnia...so I am going to make her do one of a Futurama thing.  Don't know how good it will turn out, but it will be great to try!
