Season 1: Hell is Other Robots
Season 2, part 1: Why must I be a Crustacean in Love?
Season 2, part 2: The Problem with Popplers
Season 3, part 1: Parasites Lost
Season 3, part 2: Luck of the Fryrish
McSeason 4, part 1: Roswell that Ends Well
McSeason 4, part 2: Godfellas
McSeason 5, part 1: The Why of Fry

A surprise upset last round, as heavy favorite (and Emmy nominee) "Jurassic Bark" loses to the final episode of teh Nibbler arc. Maybe we'll see something like that this episode, too...

Voting ends Wednesday night whenever the hell I feel like closing the thread. The winner will go on with the others to our finals, beginning immediately afterwards.

And please... DON'T vote for whatever episode is getting the most votes! Vote for YOUR favorite!

I simply can't say no to an episode like Spanish Fry. It beats a bad shippy episode any time, plus Bender's jokes stayed hilarious the whole time. So were all the other jokes.

*sighs*

They don't make cartoons like that anymore. Dirty jokes are not usually prevalent in cartoons, so this was a real treat and a great laugh.

We'll miss you, Futurama! "GOODBYE FROM THE WORLD OF TOMORROW!"

EDIT: This poll has suddenly become evil in my eyes. These are all excellent episodes and you made me choose between them!?!?!

Why? Why are there choices!? I can't show favoritism over certain episodes! I love Futurama! *bawls*

I'm sad that I said The Sting.  I feel that The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings was an extraveganza to behold for all fans and was a good finale.  It touched my heart a lot....maybe a little too much.  I just want you to know that one part of the Sting vote was sorry he voted for it and wished he voted for the better episode instead.  It leaves many things to rest and shows many things which were never expected by fans.

Go Parabox. I know you can't win (not when up against the Sting and Devils Hands) but I want you to win anyway.

i think this last batch of episodes is great, they are all really funny and i think its good that they didn't slowly decline like many other shows did

also, i voted for Devil's hands, i liked how it was very humourous, it had a good, clever plot, and in the end it was touching and emotional, and it makes you wonder if Fry and Leela get together in the end

Devil's Hands...

I laughed more at Spanish Fry and I really liked The Sting's screwing around with my reality, but at the end of the day, I loved the opera and felt the last scene was a perfect note to end the series on.

IMHO, Parabox was the highlight of Season 5. A wonderful sci-fi premise with great humor and a touch of shippiness' to provide the emotional depth and character development. To me, this episode represents everything that is great about Futurama.

Having said that, I could make a similar argument for The Sting, but I had to pick one   :)

Beezlebot made "the Devil's hands..." a favourite episode for me. I dunno why, but everytime that guy was on screen I couldn't stop grinning. He just had so much manic energy.

This, however, is followed closely by "The Sting", because hey, it did make me cry salty tears, and "The Farnsworth Parabox"-- I loved seeing the characters interact with themselves. Also, look on Universe A Leela and Fry's faces when they saw their married counterparts, heh.

i haven't seen the last of those 2 episodes there
so i went with obsoletley Fabulous.

i think those episodes there were pretty consistent but i didn't think any were particulary
amazing or had some flaws that made me not like it so much.
like the overly romantic story of the sting

The Sting vs. Devil's Hands! Noooooooo!

Going with the Sting purely due to this line:
"I'll get his dead corpse from space and shove it under my bed, that'll prove I'm not crazy!"

But it was EXTREMELY hard to give up the opera.

Devil's Hands.

The opera really stole the episode.

And they don't mean that old saying, "The series isn't over till the fat lady sings", for nothing!!!

Like a lot of folks here, it was a tough choice between the 'Sting' and 'Devils Hands', but I had to go with Devils Hands because of the last line:
'I wanna hear how it ends'.  One of the most touching lines in the whole series.

this was probably the hardest poll for everyone, the last episodes are so great, they have the perfect contrast between the sci-fi element, great humor, emotional parts, and the romance between Fry and Leela
i agree with Wonderbee on the last line, that was great

This is probably the most difficult round, because the line up is so strong, and it's very difficult to choose between them. I could probably justify voting for almost any of them. I think it comes down to a final choice between The Sting, The Farnshworth Parabox, and The Devils Hands. The Farnsworth Parabox has possibly the single funniest moment in any episode of Futurama, Hermes finding it hard choosing not to push the eject button. But then the other two have such a great emotional core. I love the holophoner music in the closing shot of Devils Hands. But I think over-all The Sting wins due to its pure oddness, brilliant concept, and general coolness. It's got everything: action, romance, and gaint bees from outer space!

The Sting.  Not just the best of the "season five" summer run, but my favorite episode at all.  Honorable mention goes to The Farnsworth Parabox, because it was a really funny, solid episode.

Because I thought that before I realized how much better Devil's Hands was.  It's sorta an inspiration message for the episode.  Sting was winning, but I felt Devil's Hands needed a boost.

What an incredible run of episodes.  They definitly made all the months of waiting Fox put us through almost worth it.

That being said, it comes down to three.  The Farnsworth Parabox is perhaps the greatest comic episode of Futurama.  It starts great ("Buddha, Zeus, God, somebody help me..., Satan, you owe me!" ) and just builds on that.  Its somewhere in my top 10.

But it is against the two best episodes of the year, and two of the best of the series.  The Devil's Hands are Idle Playthings was a wonderful episode, and was everything I could have ask for from a season and series finale.  For those that attack it, take a break, go outside, look up into the sky for 10 minutes, re-watch it, and then admit that you are wrong.  It is that good.  I would seriously consider this one of the 20 best animated episodes of all time.

But The Sting is everything I ask for from Science Fiction.  A great story that made me think, didn't give away too much, advanced the overall show, made me laugh, made me cry, and took full advantage of the world of animation.  I dare you to point out one half hour on television last year that was better scripted.

Of course, I could be wrong.  :)

I went with Farnsworth Parabox. It was definately one of the best episodes in a while. The Sting was pretty good too. It just kinda confused me and.....well maybe the sting was better. However the Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings was a great episode also. I also thought that the 300 Big Boys had alot of good laughs too and.....Oh....Oh My God! What have I done!? Can I change My vote?

i feel that the the sting would had made a better last-episode than "devil hands". it seemed like a "complete" story rather than a hurried situation. maybe it was because we KNEW it was the last show, but it seemed rushed by me. the sting had a great plot, some humor, and that killer plot-twist. my favorite epp hands down.

This is the toughest choice of all.  The Sting vs Devil's Hands.  Lionel Hutz Esq. sums it up very well and his feelings on the two eps are mine as well.  Except for the final choice.  I went with The Devil's Hands.  The Sting was a great ep, but it mirrored Red Dwarf's best ep "Back to Reality" a little too much.  The Devil's Hands was pure Futurama.
