I was reading this article on this website (http://www.thefutoncritic.com/cgi/gofuton.cgi?action=newswire&id=6131)
and apparently FOX found something else to show at 7 on Aug 31

The 7:30/6:30c "Futurama" repeat will air as previously announced.

The same article details Fox's plans for Sundays in September.  I mentioned elsewhere that they're showing a movie on the 7th, but it seems they're going to show movies every Sunday next month.  So I guess the reruns are over with the end of August.  Eliminating that one episode on the 31st must just be one last bit of nostalgia.

They did the same thing last year, too. It's nothing unexpected.

Oh well - at least the last Futurama to be broadcast on FOX (probably) is The Sting, which (1) was almost universally loved and (2) is the only episode I've never seen (stupid VCR), so I can't complain about it too much.

Yeah, I also remember last year when Fox pre-empted Futurama last year for that Fox Box crap.  Looking at my 2002 calendar, though, Futurama wasn't pre-empted at all in August last year.  Fox Box probably pre-empted Futurama on the first Sunday of September 2002.  Looks like this time Fox is indeed trying to make a last-ditch effort to pre-empt Futurama.

Well, it all goes in line with their new promos which state "We know the only opinion that matters is yours."

I'm so confused about the remaining Futurama reruns in August on FOX- I thought there was going to be an hour -this- weekend, not next weekend. Then on CGEF I saw two episodes listed for FOX on Monday at 2am? Can somebody clear this up for me? I'd really appreciate it.  :D

Originally, Fox was going to show two episodes this Sunday and two episodes the next Sunday.  They're still doing an hour's worth on Sunday, but they're now only going to show one episode on the 31st.

And for some reason, all of CGEF's times are seven hours ahead, so it's on at 7:00 pm on Fox and not 2:00 am, 11:30 pm on Cartoon Network and not 6:30 am, and so forth.

AaaaaAAAAGGHHH!!!

FOR ONCE, FOX AIRS A RERUN OF AN EPISODE I NEVER SAW THANKS TO FOOTBALL ON THE EAST COAST, AND THEY PRE-EMPT IT OUT OF THE BLUE?

FOX: Die, die, die. I seriously need the Volume 4 DVD to come out faster than this. I thought that maybe, JUST MAYBE, FOX had seen the error of its ways.

BUT THAT GOT DISPROVEN IN A HURRY, DIDN'T IT?

FOX: Die, die, die.

According to Don Del Grade at alt.tv.futurama, "A Taste Of Freedom" is on as planned for next Sunday-Unless he's wrong!

Well, my local fox station and TV Guide show fox box.  So looks like that is what we get.

The official Fox schedule says that "A Taste of Freedom" will be on Sunday at 7 pm.  You don't think they realized that Futurama might get higher ratings than Fox Box, do you?

The TV Guide in my mailbox said that Fox Box will be at 7 P. M., while The Sting is on at 7:30 P. M.

My TiVo guide data (Tribune) says only "The Sting"  which I still have saved from first run (Thank God), I can avoid FOX all together on Sunday.  Bastards.

TV Guide Website (as of now) shows "Fox Box" at 7 and "The Sting" at 7:30 (in "agreeance" with mjsmith).

Zap2it lists the same thing (a division of Tribune Media).
