So really sad  'oh God NOOOOOO' Why did they stop Futurama. As Mom said 'Jerkwad Fox(replaced robots) make me sick to my ass'. I will really truely miss Futurama. I hope Matt Groenning and David x Cohen know they entertained us fans. *sniff*  *sniff*. Goodbye Fry Leela and Bender we will miss you and will always remeber you.

This is the Futurama shrine if you want to say a few words to the most favourite show in the world. please post your feelings and please do not copy this thread as it is the official 'Futurama Shrine' Copyright 2003

Thak you,

And in in the end, Fry's opera bombed.
But Leela loved his heartfelt song.
Her feelings had been unspoken
But now the wall was broken.
And the lady Fry admired most
To her heart, allowed him close.
While Bender plotted crimes, uh, grandiose
The day the laughter died...

We started singin'
Bye bye, Leela, Bender and Fry
We'll be seein' you on cable but for now it's goodbye
So let's all raise our glasses high
And pray for Gail Berman to die...
And pray for Gail Berman to die...

To Futurama,
The show that kept me going through all the bad times these last few years.
The show that gave me something good to look forward to every week.
The show that gave me a good laugh through my worst breakup.
The show that gave me hope when I needed it.
I had some good times.

I hear a lot of people saying it wasn't as good as it used to be and it would have ended up like the Simpsons. I can't agree with that on two grounds. Firstly those season four episodes have kept me laughing as much as the first episodes I ever saw, and I think the Simpsons is still strong, funny, and well written. So maybe I do agree with the second part - maybe it would have ended up like the Simpsons over ten years old and looking none the worse for it.

Well 2 things:
1) great song Kryten. That should have been played after the last episode!
2) Futurama may be gone but it will not be forgotten as long as people like us keep talking about it, so long live peel.

Genderconfusion. Ahh, that's the PEEL I know and love. Remember the good old days, when people thought futurefreak was a guy and Kryten was a girl. Petridge Farms remembers, as do I. Good times.

In the spirit of Kryten:

To the tune of It's Over, by Audio Adrenaline

Farewell, so long to you
We've come to the end of the show
It's all been wonderful
A lovely and wonderful time
Say goodbye to
All the friends who
Made you laugh and made you cry
We hope you've enjoyed the show
It's over
It's over
It's all over now
This TV will be turned off soon
When the quality and laughter is gone
This night will be forgot
But the DVDs you've bought will go on
Say goodnight to
All the friends who
Made you laugh and made you cry
We hope you've enjoyed the show
It's over
It's over
It's all over now
The lights come down, don't lose your glow
When it's over
It's over
It's all over now
Is it all over?
Or has it just begun?

What now my love?
Now that its over?
I see my hand
Turning off the TV
Oh how we laughed
Oh how we cried
As Bender Smoked,
Stole and lied.
What now dear fans?
Now that there's nothing?
Only our DVDs

It's not really goodbye, it's more like "Uh, so long, pleasant trip!"

The show shall always be missed, but as long as the DVDs remain, the reruns keep rerunning, and the fanbase holds strong(and I see no sign of any of those things not happening), it'll never die.

This song is sung at all the ends of things and while all these things end, there's always new beginings to go along with them.  Surely you know what song I'm talking bout, right? Well, anyway, this isn't a parody, but:

Another turning point
a fork stuck in the road .
Time grabs you by the wrist ,
directs you where to go.
So make the best of this test ,
 and don't ask why.
It's not a question ,
but a lesson learned in time .
It's something unpredictable ,
but in the end is right .
I hope you had the time of your life .

So take the photographs ,
and still frames in your mind .
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time .
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial .
For what it's worth , it was worth all the while .
It's something unpredictable ,
but in the end is right .
I hope you had the time of your life .
It's something unpredictable ,
but in the end is right .
I hope you had the time of your life .
It's something unpredictable ,
but in the end is right .
I hope you had the time of your life .

Ever see that short Rejected?
Yeah. The new episodes would be like that. Little stick figures.
Me and my friend were once saying if there was a Futurama movie, and they did it with a $2.50 budget it'd be a stick, and a word bubble saying "Hi, Leela" and that'd be the movie. With credits on sheets of paper, with Matt Groening's hand holding the credit papers.
Let's hope, if they DO make a movie, it'll have a BIGGGGGGGG budget.   :D

Here is a quick look at Fry and Leela's relationship I concocted in honor of Futurama:

Back in good ol 99, we saw a delivery boy named Fry be given a second chance at life.  Customs were introduced to him, but meanwhile, Leela learned. She learned that her standards meant nothing as long as the love was there.  All the macho guys stood up to take a swing at the Blurnsball bat.  But they all failed to completely capture her heart. As time grew on, Fry ate an egg sandwich and got worms.  Leela immediately fell in love with him because of what he had become.  "What I have become" Fry mumbled to himself.  He realized that he could only be himself, but this angered Leela and made her burst in tears.  She then thought that this relationship had lost all hope.  But as time grew, Fry learned more about her.  Seeing her real mutant parents, he now knew she was truly happy to meet them.  After learning everything about her, he did everything he could to impress her. Then Chad came along.  Fry found that he was the most important person in the galaxy, but then that info was erased from his memory.  Meanwhile, Chad had not let the kids from the Orphanarium go ice skating, so Leela walked out in anger seeing what a true boyfriend is.  Fry continued to do anything for Leela. From protecting her from a space bee to waiting for her to recover from the toxins, Fry had become a true romeo, but then a huge opportunity struck Fry to prove himself for good.  He found that he had stubby fingers and could not play the Holophoner.  But he made a deal with the robot devil and recieved his hands.  The robot devil then made a plan to make him give up the hands.  Meanwhile, Leela was turned on by the fact that Fry was writing an opera about her.  Then Bender sold his ass for a megaphone nose.  Leela was then deaf.  The robot devil then provided hearing with Calculon's ears.  In exchange, she would give him her hand.  But the contract said that she would give him her hand in marraige unless Fry gave up the hands.  He did so, but Leela had stayed to see Fry play.  They then truly fell in love and Fry was on the way to being more like the Fry in the demension affected by coin flips.  Unfortunately, your adventrues were cut short, so we cannot learn how your romantic life turns out.  So here's to this relationship providing 5 seasons of entertainment.  We may never know if you actually got married, but we can be sure you finally have the relationship we've been waiting to see for so long.  Here's to many more unseen years.  The moral:  An ideal boyfriend/girlfriend doesn't matter standardwise.  All a relationship needs is love for the person.

Very very true, Donbot. *claps*

I really love the song parodies and little speeches... but it feels like a funeral in here.

Futurama will live on for a while, everyone. It has found refuge on Cartoon Network and will for at least another year or so.. its ratings were going up so I don't think they'll drop it too soon.

But what the hell, let's keep singing songs!

*tries to think of a good parody*

Well, here's a nameless, fairly new song by my band (lyrics are almost entirely by me). We just started making music for it, but whenever I read it, it makes me think of Futurama for some reason. (I really don't know what it's exactly about    :hmpf: ). The music and the way it's sung sound really sad so far, makes me tear up. I'm not sure if it's as sad with just lyrics, but you guys judge that:

All that’s left is to pick up what you’ve left behind
You always come, when the scene has died away
The waves have crashed themselves out, the sun has faded
But surely now, nothing is allowed to stay

Your tears dried up, on your face
The sand washed the tears from flay
sand can not heal though, can’t bring life back
but surely now, nothing is allowed to stay

Crying, screaming, but no one can hear
It doesn’t matter when it’s your fear
Pleading, begging, but it’s no use
It doesn’t matter how much you shake lose
So…Don’t remove your mark
Don’t fade into the dark
Don’t burst into flames
Don’t forget all our names
You can lose but you can still try
So don’t become blocked from the sky

It’s gone, but I still can sense it’s linger
Ever coming closer but not afraid to stray
The moon casts shadows, on all who seek the surface
But surely now, nothing is allowed to stay

I’m still, not afraid
Of what I have to be or what I need to say
I set foot on the barren land, readying for what’s to come
Beckoning it to come out and play

But surely now, nothing is allowed to stay?

Crying, screaming, but no one can hear
It doesn’t matter when it’s your fear
Pleading, begging, but it’s no use
It doesn’t matter how much you shake lose
So…Don’t remove your mark
Don’t fade into the dark
Don’t burst into flames
Don’t forget all our names
You can lose but you can still try
So don’t become blocked from the sky

I don’t understand
I’ve come so close but to no avail
My time is almost up
Catching my breath,
I grasp my fear
Throw it out in front of me
Attacking it from the rear
My hand goes through it
Though I don’t find it wry
Cause I know,
I won’t become blocked from the sky

Crying, screaming, but no one can hear
It doesn’t matter when it’s your fear
Pleading, begging, but it’s no use
It doesn’t matter how much you shake lose
So…Don’t remove your mark
Don’t fade into the dark
Don’t burst into flames
Don’t forget all our names
You can lose but you can still try
So don’t become blocked from the sky

Crying, screaming, but no one can hear
(I don’t understand)
It doesn’t matter when it’s your fear
(Pleading, begging, but it’s no use)
I’ve come so close but to no avail
(It doesn’t matter how much you shake lose)
My time is almost up
(Don’t remove your mark)
Catching my breath,
(Don’t fade into the dark)
I grasp my fear
(Don’t burst into flames)
Throw it out in front of me
(Don’t forget all our names)
Attacking it from the rear
(You can lose but you can still try)
My hand goes through it
(So don’t become blocked from the sky)
Though I don’t find it wry
(So don’t become blocked from the sky)
Cause I know,
I won’t become blocked from the sky

So don’t become blocked from the sky
