Matt Groening has always loved having celebrity guest voices on The Simpsons, though he did manage to get a few for Futurama (Pauly Shore, Pam Anderson, Star Trek crew etc.) we never had a chance to see a whole lot of it. Just out of curiousity who would you have liked to see on Futurama?
Mark Hammel? Adam Sandler? Snoop Dogg? Michael Jordan? Calvin Klien?... Sound Off

Well... let me try this again... Who would you have liked to have seen guest voice on Futurama? (HINT: its not a yes or no question)

Eh, whoever would fit the part I guess.  Unless it was their head in a jar, then it would be the actor.

I dont really like guest spots on Futurama. I dont know why, I just like it to stay purely fantasy. Thats why I didn't like the episode with Beck. At least Futurama doesn't over do it like the simpsons.  :nono:

But if I had to pick, I would've liked to see a Phil Hartman voice appearence. I loved all of his work on the Simpsons. Of course, we all know thats impossible.

IMO, the less guest stars, the better.

I agree with Otis, but pressed for an answer I wouldn't mind to hear Andrew J Robinson do a guest appearance.

I don't really want any guest stars, unless they're playing characters other than themselves.

Depends what their role is. There's guest stars like Sigourney Weaver who fit right in and don't stop the plot making sense and there's the downright pointless like Pauly Shore who are just...pointless.

Michael Jackson, James Earl Jones, Steven Spielberg, Matt Greoning himself, Tom Cruise (I don't know why, I just think it would be funny if he was given a realy stupid role that he took totaly seriously).

I don't like the concept of guest stars playing themselves on ANY fiction show.  Its almost always cheesy, and is also almost universally a substitute for good writing (even if the writing for the guest itself is relatively good).  Stay away from them, unless you have a REALLY good gimmick backing it up (such as with "No Fan", where they add to the greatness for obvious reasons).

That said, guests NOT playing themselves like Weaver can be excellent.  Mark Hammil would be fun (even MAYBE as a head in a jar) given the obvious inpsirations Futurama draws from Star Wars (which is also part of why "No Fan" was so good).

Who gives the voice to Calculon?

Also, i think i'd trade Steve Martin for John Cleese, Eric Idle (just remember the crazy scientist in South Park movie "Can you say big flappy donkey dick?" ), Michael Palin (just finished watching his "Sahara" on our national TV)or Terry Jones...

Who is Lee Evans, and why is he such a legend (forgive me, but i live in a retarded litle country, and i DO try hard to keep up with the US pop culture, but some things just never reach us..). Tell me where i might have seen or heard the obviously talented Mr. Evans, be it a movie, tv show or misc.

im not from the US and niether is he. He is a comedian and has appeared in quite a few movies. such as there something about mary. He's highly underated. he isnt really that funny in films but is more known for his stand up comedy. possibly one of the funniest men alive, well, other than john major but thats for a different reason...

I wish that Jonathon Harris (LIS Dr Smith) would have had a guest shot, or a voice acting credit, he was really funny(did Lucifer's voice in BSG)and if it had been possible, Roddy McDowell would also have been really good as well.  Oh yeah, Clancy Brown does quite a few voices as well, he would have made a great tough guy on the show.

I wanna see The Ramones play a Happy B'day song for Zoidberg, like they do for Mr.Burns in the Simpsons.
"I'd Just like to say this gig sux!"
"Hey, up yours Springfield"
