Futurama ending

What would be your perfect end to futurama? a horrible disaster that destroys the universe? Fry and leela finally getting together?

Actually, I thought 'The Why of Fry' would have made a good last episode.

I'm not sure what I want, but probably the 'Devils Hands' ending, the way it probably will end. Because that ep description sounds so awesome to me, I doubt it could be much better, especially having the Robot Devil back in it too

something epic.. with space ships.. Fry doing something very important and at the end every body knows who is him ,he completes his voyage from a nobody delivery boy to a hero.. he gets Leela.. end of the story.. i like Space Opera so this is the kind of "Star Wars type" finale i like..

but more of all what I expect is something really unexpectable...

BTW I think ther's a thread 'how you folks imagine the last ep will be ?' or sthing like that. maybe it's dead or closed, I don't know (Im too lazy to search for it  ). but davids take a glance, you would certainly have samples of people's opinion.

I definatley agree with Javier Lopez! I'd love to have some closure to the ending. But from i've heard..that probably will not happen.

there shouldn't be something that stops any chance of more eps or the movies, so none of the main characters should die, but i like both of NoAPOlogies ideas.

But what if there are no more episodes? I've said this before, but we should enjoy these last few episodes for what they are, theres a big chance that we're not going to get any more. Movies are not out..but new episodes? We're just kidding ourselves.

'Devils hands' definatly needs a sense of closure, but it also needs to leave the potential for more episodes in the unlikely event that more episodes are made/shown.

It`s easy leave open for more plots..but i`m 99% sure that Idle Hands will be a "once more" episode... like many others.. Why of Fry with a few more little details would be a perfect end.. so i think about Idle Hands as another "Parasites Lost" , i dont expect  anything new.. so if you dont spect anything new you allways have nice surprises.. it`s my point of view for "critical shows", like Star Wars Ep2.. i went to the premiere here in spain with all those VIPs every where.. when someboday asked me "what do you spect from this movie? an awesome one?" i allways said "none..i spect a full crap" so the final movie was surprising and good..  mm it`s hard to explain that in english..i had to watch more and more english movies..

anyway this thread is about how would be your Futurama perfect ending.. not what you spect from "Idle hands"

remember that the devils hands was probably made before futurama was officialy cancelled so there is little chance of it ending any differently to a regular episode.

Devil's Hands was written and produced with full knowledge that cancellation was a possibility as David Cohen has said, but don't expect full closure, a wedding or "a very special episode of...".

I agree with MrB above, in that I thought "The Why of Fry" would have been the perfect episode to go out on.  Regardless of your personal feelings about the episode (I liked it a lot), it brought the entire series full circle, and ended on a positive note for the shippers in the audience.  The perfect ending to a wonderful series.

I don't have any more of a clue than anyone else here as to what "Devil's Hands" will be about (other than the famous one sentence description), but I have little doubt that it will be something along the lines of "Why of Fry"'s in that we will again see Leela warming up to Fry, but no serious commitment.  Even though they knew this could be the end, Matt, David and crew were still hoping for an order for new episodes, so they didn't want to shut any doors permanently.

Here's hoping with a great shot at a second Emmy, strong DVD sales and a growing audience in syndication, we will all get a chance to see "what happened next" in the not so distant future. 

Oh, to have Bill Gates resources.  I call up David and order another 22 episodes, then sell them to Cartoon Network and WTBS cheap.

There should be some mega-fighty thing between Earth and all other planets and in the end it is Fry who has to destroy the commander of the forces of "all other planets" for which he would use Nibbler as a projectile weapon and after the death of the commander of all other planets it would turn out that Leelas race are going to destroy the earth thus Leela and Fry set off to stop the destruction of Earth but the only way this can be done is for Fry to return to his own time but just before he does Leela gives him, her wrist com type thing  so emotional

Considering what others have said about a vampire and an explosion i think an implosion cause by the robot devil would be much more enjoyable

I'd love them to have to call on characters that have appeared once or twice in the previous episodes like in farscape when they assault the stronghold and call all the badasses from previous episodes. A good one would be them trying to stop nixon from making an alliance with the Brain Spawn before something ... something...
