What if Futurama was the question: 'what if a pizza boy from the 1999 came to the year 3000?'posed to the what-if machine of course.

u never specified how, and who the pizza boy was, or how he gets into the future.

u might end up with your local pizza hut delivery guy falling into a black hole and emerging in the future, only to be come president of earth. remember what if machine isnt 100% accurate, only to within 1/10 of a plausability unit.

or are u asking us to pose our own futurama related what if s?

If you want, I was just wondering how people would feel if it turned out that the entire series was just a what if question.

That would be like one of the old horror movies, where the person wakes up and realises 'It was all a dream' I definatly would'nt be happy if that happened

You know what would be good? If all of this is the result of somebody asking "What if FOX horribly mistreated and ultimately doomed their best show ever?", right after Futurama aired for the first time. And any day now, this will all fade away and we'll be anxiously waiting for 6ACV episodes that will begin to air when the new season starts, this September.

A man can dream, though... A man can dream...

Maybe this is a cruel What-If question asked by FOX!

It would be a nightmare if it turned out that the entire Futurama series was Fry's dream or a what if machine-like thing.

I don't think it'll end with anything like that. Wasn't the last episode made without realizing it was going to be the last episode? Or something like that.

It's a semi-finale, I thought.  Because I believe there is SOME closure to the series.

From our friends at The Leela Zone, regarding the last episode:

From April 2002's Cinescape: "The last episode scripted for season 4, we were thinking that we wanted to hedge our bets just in case we're cancelled so we wanted to end on a touching note." [...] "The episode doesn't wrap things up, it doesn't end like a terminus, but it's not open-ended either."

What if it's all a play to show Fry life is worth living, like that dumb Simpsons episode 'The Great Money Caper'

The first rule of writing (as told by teachers):

Never suddenly end a story with "And then I woke up". It just doesn't work, as much as you think it might.

What if it turned out the entire series was a cartoon watched by millions and the last thing we saw was an axe with 'Fox' on it? Yeah, sure it would suck, but it's realistic
